Plan Summary
We’ve always needed a Savior. From the earliest promises in Genesis to the hope of restoration carried by those returning from exile in Babylon, the people of the Old Testament ached for restoration and rescue. In this season leading up to Christmas Day, we will trace the biblical anticipation of the One who met every expectation and fulfilled every promise: Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God. Traditional Advent prayers will aid us on our journey, reflecting our heart’s cry for Jesus alone to fill our deepest need. Nestled throughout the book are seasonal merriments and thoughtful extras to help you deepen your engagement during Advent: from holiday hosting tips, recipes, and hymns to reflection prompts and prayers. Join us during this season of invitation and hope, as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the first coming of our Savior while expressing our longing and eagerness for His return.
