Day 7

Weekly Truth

from the 1 & 2 Thessalonians reading plan

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

Over the course of this reading plan, we will commit a passage from 1 Thessalonians 5 to memory, where Paul calls his readers to action. This week, focus on memorizing the first two verses and the beginning of verse 18. Write the words on a notecard and keep it near your bedside as a reminder to rejoice, pray, and give thanks throughout the day.

Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
—1 Thessalonians 5:16–18a

Absolutely praying for you! We all have been where you are. Grab these bible verses for a “Back to Basics” refresh. Jesus is calling you for a deeper and stronger relationship. (remember there is only one author of fear and confusion.) 1st Peter 5:6-10 & Phililppeans 4:4-9 & Isaiah 41:10 & 2nd Timothy 1:7 & Proverbs 3:5-6. Focus on being honest and direct with God. It isn’t about how far you have come, but the doors that are opening up for you, Growing pains. Love & hugs!!
