BY She Reads Truth
Advent is a season to celebrate and contemplate. We rejoice that our Savior has come to us! We also seek unhurried moments of quiet to reflect on His wondrous light and the promise of His future return. Take time today to pause from the busyness of the season to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.
For a child will be born for us,
a son will be given to us,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
He will be named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
–Isaiah 9:6

Love love this verse. When I was running last winter, this verse was beautifully written in beautiful chalk art colors on the trail that I would run

I just love that Saturday’s are called Grace day. It sets the tone to be intentional and God focused rather than “get everything you possibly can get done”. I definitely spent too many years with that motto on Saturday’s! Funny how the important things get done on Grace days and they are so much more enjoyable and fulfilling, especially during Advent. Thank you God for the gift of your Son and for Your grace!!

Foggy and dreary outside, but the tree lights are twinkling, my coffee is fresh and hot, and my kitty is on my lap. God is good! This time with God and you ladies is so special. -
There is beauty in quiet and still moments reflecting on Him.
