    “And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life” (Gen 45:5). Joseph looked back at the events of his life. He had every “right” to be angry and bitter about his treatment at the hand of his brothers. Instead, he focused on God’s overarching plan to preserve the fledgling nation of Israel. He rejoiced that he was used by God to provide for his family! Oh Father, let me look at life through eyes of faith. Let me cling to your faithful love when I am tempted to despair.
