Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.
During this reading plan, we are memorizing our key verse, Isaiah 43:1. This week, we’ll continue with the fourth line of the verse.
Now this is what the Lord says—
the one who created you, Jacob,
and the one who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are mine.”
—Isaiah 43:1

Do NOT fear for I have redeemed you
Happy Sunday sweeties! Yep, WE have been redeemed! Thank you JESUS! Sometimes fear creeps in, yet we remember this promise and I believe it!! The sun is UP! Cold but the SUN IS UP! I’m exited for some of our junior highers from our school, who are running the half marathon this morning. Praying for all of you here. Have a great time of worship with your church family.

Thank you Lord! I am Yours!❤️
Amen! I am Yours!
Good morning She’s, Happy Sunday!
I am hearing “In the name of Jesus” by JwLKRS on the radio. It’s a great anthem for today. Sometimes things get so heavy by hearing the woes and valleys people are going through in all my groups, here, and my own family. I hurt to see others hurt. I struggle to make sense of it all sometimes. But then, I have a strong relationship with Jesus that He has prepared and strengthened just for me, his daughter, to have trust and faith. We can be weary (“Weary Traveler”), tired, disheartened…but dear daughter, Rhonda, there is a greater plan…one day soon we are going to make it home! We have to run the race to win. To keep our eyes on Jesus, even during the storms.
I am reading a true story right now of a Jewish Father and son sent to a concentration camp in 39. The father had even fought in the first war. Finally married with 4 kids, then this. And to read of all they go through day after day..it’s just hard to see HOW someone could suffer so much. I am now reading where they are sent to Auschwitz, in their 4th year. His wife and daughter have already been shipped to their death. How do you not give up? I have read many, many people’s stories, but this one is challenging. I know there is purpose in our pain, and God holds all our tears. But thus far there is no reference to faith and God. So maybe that’s why it’s hurting me more than normal- ? God WANTS to redeem his people. That is the promise. But when we don’t see his way of rescue. He is the rescue. He is our hope. Jesus is His redemption plan. I need to keep his words written on my heart.
Amen Rhonda, thank you for the heart felt words.
Each day is a gift.
(heart)! Glad you get blessed as you bless us! Continued prayers for your wrist. Oh how the little trials frustrate us sometimes more than the bigger things?!
Those true stories HURT to read! Unbelievable of how these people were treated. I’v been receiving reels of Holocaust survivors on IG. So painful! Hopefully by the end of the book you reading that father and son became believers! Love you friend.
They are stories that need to be shared for sure–but I’m always waiting for the faith of God to be added, like, of course the legend, Corrie Ten Boom!
Have a great Spring Break vacay and mornings to SLEEP IN!!
I think when we hear stories without the hope of Jesus, we feel the weight of the hearts that carry them. It makes sense it weighs on you… bc the eternal perspective is that our suffering is for Him and carried with, through, and by Him. It is hard to read it without the hope of Jesus. Imagine if the story of Job was not redeemed? It would be even harder to read…
Exactly!!
Don’t you just know it- the message today at church answered it as well!
Who is writing our story? Second question–Who is the main character?? OOPH! Without Him, it is not a story of hope and redemption. Although I know in this particular story they make it through, and many people’s story of overcoming is powerful, but without Jesus, it is futile. That’s why it’s important to give Him the Glory. To live for His glory not our own. Our ministries, our serving, our wins, our stories become His ministries, his serving, His wins, His stories. Lord help me point to you in my every day life.
Can you imagine how trying this must have been for Isaiah?! Telling what God tells Him to say?! His story is God’s story- for us. Now that is putting aside yourself and being only in it for the Glory of God…His messenger. The funny thing is…all of God’s great people die here on this side. All the disciples faced so many challenges, and died horrible deaths…FOR the love of Jesus and to witness. Are we prepared in this day and age? What if I faced being beat for my faith daily, like currently in other countries? Am I strong enough? Are we strong enough? Help us Lord Jesus. Help us put you at the center of our lives. Let us shout for Joy—for you! Sing your praises loud and proud! Be on fire for you, with Holy Spirit fire! Let our lives be purposeful for you—through each valley, every trial, every sorrow. You have a perfect story for us to show YOUR Glory of redemption and restoration! Thank you Jesus.
What blessings you sisters are! ❤
Thank you Lord!
Thank you all for your prayers yesterday! I felt them!
Do not fear for I have redeemed you! Thank you Lord for the miracle of redemption! Have a blessed day!
Quoting Max Lucado today on this verse:
“You aren’t one of many bricks in the mason’s pile or one of a dozen bolts in the mechanic’s drawer. You are it!
You offer a gift to society that no one else brings. If you don’t bring it, it won’t be brought.
Thank God for the lengths he went to to bring you to himself. Reflect on the extreme measures Jesus took to purchase your salvation. Remember, that as you go through each day, Jesus continues to work in your life helping you be the you that you were meant to be.”
.
Love, hugs, and prayers sister Shes!
Have a blessed day of worship! ❤
Love and hugs to you, sis! ❤️
❤ Thanks a bunch, Sis!
Amen!
Some observations from the Faithlife Study Bible:
God had redeemed Israel from Egypt.
Exodus 6:6-8
“Say therefore to the people of Israel, m‘I am the Lord, and nI will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and oI will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. 7 I pwill take you to be my people, and qI will be your God, and you shall know that mI am the Lord your God, who has brought you out nfrom under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you into rthe land that I sswore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. mI am the Lord.’ ”
The Babylonian exiles had no reason to fear, because salvation is assured.
.
OUR salvation is also assured because of Jesus.
.
Thanks be to God!
.
So let to Refeemed say (and sing and shout) so today in worship.
Amen! ❤️

The Good News Translation says this of Isaiah 43:1
Israel, the Lord who created you says, “Do not be afraid—I will save you. I have called you by name—you are mine.
.
As I did last week, I insert my name to make it personal..
.
TINA, the LORD who created you, the LORD who formed you, the LORD who fashioned you, the LORD who designed you, the LORD who moulded you, the LORD who brought you into being..
The LORD who loved you into being, says,
.
“..Do not be afraid-I will save you..
.
I have a tendency to be afraid, to have fear, when I do not know what, where, who how..
.
I was fear-filled when I left the comfort of my father’s house to come to England to meet my mum.
I was fear-filled when at 17, I found myself expecting a child. I was fear-filled when I became a single parent at 19. I was fear-filled when life threw me lemons, when all I would have loved was a sorbet.. I was fear-filled when I was blindsided by loss, and I am fear-filled now as life takes me on a new journey.. Retirement…
.
BUT GOD..
.
As I read these words, as I truly read and took them into my heart, I am so very very thankful that the God who created me, was and has been with me since day one, I did not need to be afraid or fear-filled, because His promise to me, Tina, has ALWAYS been, to not be afraid for HE, my LORD GOD, will save, protect, provide, show mercy,
comfort, love and bring me hope..
.
So, moving forward, I sew these words, like so many others, on my heart, for as I have learned in recent days, .. When the LORD says.. The LORD promises and it can never be broken!❤
.
Giving thanks and praise to the One, who calls me by name, Who calls me His own, Who keeps His promises always!
.
AMEN.
.
Happy and joy-filled Sunday, my dears! He calls us by name! Hallelujah! We are His.. Double Hallelujah!!!!❤❤❤
Double Hallelujah! ❤️❤️
Beautifully said, Dear Tina! Retirement is not a thing to fear… But God!! He isn’t finished with you… other than ” writing that Book”, you will be amazed by the opportunities to serve Him in unique ways that only YOU (by the power of the Holy Spirit) can fill!! I am excited for you… I turned 65, 13 years ago, finally retired from my business as a floral designer at 70. I can actually say that i love this stage of life… yes it is at a slower pace, But God!! He constantly surprises me by bringing younger women into my life who need a “listening ear”… someone to respond to their fears and ??s… I always thought that Witnessing (or mentoring) was scary… Turns out it is a natural response to allowing the Holy Spirit to guide my steps, and use all of the experiences where Jesus HAS been Faithful in my life to bless the ones Jesus brings into my life! It is so exciting, sometimes gut-wrenching, but always fulfilling! So thankful we have a Shepherd who Leads us… my dear “Sheepish Friend”… He’s got this… and so have YOU!
Yes, you certainly were used to give me a listening ear and advice and wisdom when I needed it! (still need it!) You are a treasure! I pray God continues to bless you to bless others! We really have to do a SHE”S zoom call soon!! Wouldn’t that be fun!?
I have just set up zoom on my phone!!
.
Let’s do this!!!!!
.
❤️❤️❤️
We know Tina, God still has many purposes for his dear daughter Tina!! You should definitely be a blogger or guest writers for sRT! Well, I guess you are already! lol. We get you daily here in the comments, that’s probably better!
My awesome sis, Tina ❤️❤️❤️ love the encouragement for you this morning, step into retirement with confidence & expectation – you got this!
What a blessing you are to all of us Tina!
.
Such wisdom you share.
.
Such a testimony you have.
.
I will be sewing those truths onto my heart as well.
(I’m a quilter)
.
Hugs to you Sister ❤️
Retirement…..Sweet Tina! We love you! Hope its okay to say: Congratulations! I wish we could just sit over coffee for hours on end. This morning, your comment prompted me to text my sponsor from Celebrate Recovery. She doesn’t respond to me any more (or much) as her life (and I’m thinking its okay to mention since no one knows her name) has taken a turn towards dementia and I don’t think she remembers me anymore. BUT God…. I remember her and her countless hours she poured into me when I left my abusive home. Tina….. YOU are such a godly women, full of wisdom! AND you sweet Tina are pouring into us and we love and appreciate you! I look forward to reading your comments daily. And agree with Rhonda! How about that coffee sometime? There’s most likely a young mom (or not so young) who needs to sit down with you and gain from your wisdom or simply a “listening” ear.
❤️
Tina, when we reached retirement I longed for a group that would minister to us/walk us through choosing a volunteer ministry or hobby. I understand your trepidation, sister! Love you! ❤
Thank you, Tina for the words of encouragement! I can lean towards fear BUT GOD, is working on me and showing me how to trust in Him.
❤️
My Lord and my God
