Amos 5:24

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

For this reading plan, we have worked to memorize Amos 5:24. Spend some time today reviewing the verse, asking God to use you in bringing justice and righteousness to the world.

“But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.”
—Amos 5:24

This verse inspired at least one song, Where Justice Rolls Down by Peter Eide. I first heard it in college about 20 years ago and still love it. It’s on YouTube if anyone wants to listen to it.

RHONDA hope the houseguests haven’t worn you out ;)

EVERYONE thank you for the prayers. Specific prayers Ryan and I are speaking are for the favor in what passport agent we get, favor for our time and the plans that have been made, and preparation in our (and our kids!) hearts and minds for whatever the outcome is. A lot to be done to fiat to be prepared for the “what if” of tomorrow!
Praying all have a restful Sabbath!!!

Thank you, KELLY (NEO) for the Revelations passage – beautiful!

THERESA & HEIDI – praying about the passports! Heidi – for the appointment tomorrow, and Theresa – that your husband can schedule an appointment, Heidi indicated the other day that it might take some persistence in checking for availability.

CEE GEE – looking into that book :)

Praying for spoken & unspoken needs.

Still missing so many She’s – praying all are well ❤️

See y’all in the next study tomorrow morning!

@Cee Gee This verse sounds like poetry to me, so I definitely get you saying it is musical. I’m looking into reading the River because of your comment. :)

  6. Kelly (NEO) says:

Looking forward to that justice flowing like a river maybe like what John saw, “Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the city’s main street. The tree of life was on each side of the river, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations, and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads” (Rev. 22: 1-4).

Good morning, Shes! This verse is so musical- if that makes sense?! I am reminded of the book The River by Michael Neale that I read a few years ago. Have a wonderful and restful day. Praying for you all.
