Weekly Truth

Open Your Bible

Matthew 9:35-36

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week we will finish our memorization of our key passage with the final section, which further highlights Jesus’s compassion for the people He ministered to.

Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd.
—Matthew 9:35–36

@LINDA praying for your daughter in this scary situation. I also pray for her husband who desperately needs help as well. My dad attempted to commit suicide in May so I know how helpless it can feel. Praying for her safety and her fur babies as well as they are family too. @KATHY STOUT so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. It is truly heartbreak for everybody. @JENNI I know so many have given such great advice. The best way I learned I have found is through memorizing scripture. I also find The Bible Project on YouTube helpful as well.

Praying for your sister and brother in law Linda. I lost my brother to suicide in September. It’s heartbreaking all around. Praying to our God of miracles for a miracle here so no other family has to experience this loss! Oh Father come and heal this man. Heal his mind. We call down a mind of Christ be released into him. Father touch him in his sleep or his manic state. Give him a vision of life on earth as it is in Heaven that he’ll turn from listening to the wrong voice of evil and will dial into Your voice. We ask for all of Linda’s sister’s angels to be on assignment for her protection. May she hear Holy Spirit clearly directing her steps to safety including her animals safety. I ask this all in The Name of Jesus.

Jenni, I don’t have anything to add except that I have found reading different versions of Bible have helped me to understand it better. As someone else mentioned you can do that by clicking on the verses with the devotional.

I’m praying for all request. Mental illness is nothing to be taken lightly but there are resources out there to help — one in I highly recommend is NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) — they provide free courses.

Sisters, be blessed and we can always learn more about our God, Christ and the Holy Spirit.
