Day 14

Weekly Truth

from the Hebrews reading plan

Hebrews 12:1-2

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week we will continue memorizing our key passage by adding verse 2. It reminds us of the way Jesus endured the ultimate suffering and shame on the cross so that we could be reconciled to God.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

@Laura praying for your daughter! My sister went through a situation years ago where she chose to so drugs and do the opposite of everything she was raised. Please have hope that she will reject all those bags things one day because I didn’t believe my sister could and see did. God is so much more powerful than everything she has rejected. @Heidi loved your post today. I often need to remember the end prize and all the things I need to let go of. Praying this week is a good week for all of you and myself as well.

I think there are certain sins which are more apparent in different seasons of my life. I think the sin I am struggling most with now is putting less important things before God. I can scroll through social media for an hour, but I can barely focus enough to pray. I want to keep my focus and attention on Jesus.

I’ve been quiet lately because I need to catch up on reading the comments this week, lol… life has been busy. I’ve been reading along with y’all though ;)

@JENNIFER LOVES JESUS, your prayer on here really resonated with me this morning. My husband and I are going through a valley right now (not with each other, but to keep it brief we’re just going through some emotional stuff and I don’t know how to support him). Your words specifically touched my heart, especially about laying down pride. Thank you. <3

Happy Sunday ladies. About to head into church (we're celebrating the church's 10th anniversary today). May you be blessed this week.

How awesome that todays scripture is the same as what is being illuminated by my service this morning.

    So familiar in comforting ways.
