Acts 2:37-41

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

As we read Acts together, we’re memorizing Acts 2:37–41. This week, we’ll add verse 38. Revisit this verse each day and say it out loud a few times. See if you can recite both verse 37 and verse 38 from memory by the end of the week.

37 When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!” 41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

I’m missing church. We had an unfortunate take over (my words) and hurt feelings. I feel lost. Maybe the podcast. or online services will fill the void that this study has brought to light.

@Beverly, it may not be 1:30am here in California but I’m up on this beautiful Sunday morning doing the same thing. Trying to memorize. Happy birthday to your daughter. I had to chuckle because my youngest brother just turned 48 and he’s the youngest of six.

So encouraging, Shelley Arthur, as we continue to pray for those who need Jesus.
