Acts 2:37-41

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

As we read Acts together, we’re memorizing Acts 2:37–41. This week, we’ll add verse 38. Revisit this verse each day and say it out loud a few times. See if you can recite both verse 37 and verse 38 from memory by the end of the week.

37 When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!” 41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

Beverly Watley—a blessing to rejoice in! Many don’t live to see their children grow old. My MIL didn’t see any of her children turn 35, and she met only 1 of her 8 grandchildren. Shelley ARTHUR—Thank you for the reminder of God’s faithfulness in pursuing us. Blessed Resurrection Day, sisters!

Happy Sunday! I am so excited today to be going to a new church in person (with my husband!). I hope he will make a connection to want to keep going, although I do have a few on a list! But I have prayed to find a home church since moving to our new home. Also, a praise, I was able to volunteer at a local food pantry this week and had such a good time and plan to participate every week! I just want to be able to shout out the name Jesus from the rooftops! Have you ever been that high on Jesus?! Have a good day friends!
