Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.
On day 23 we read about Miriam, who sang a song of praise after the Lord provided an escape for the Israelites through the Red Sea. This week we’ll memorize Isaiah 12:2, a verse from that day’s reading and reminder that God Himself is our salvation.
Indeed, God is my salvation;
I will trust him and not be afraid,
for the LORD, the LORD himself,
is my strength and my song.
He has become my salvation.
–Isaiah 12:2

Our strength and energy comes from praying to God! After Jesus healed people, he always retreated and prayed. He needed to be rejuvenated from God. We all do! Praying multiple times a day is extremely important in our relationship with God.
