Isaiah 12:2

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

On day 23 we read about Miriam, who sang a song of praise after the Lord provided an escape for the Israelites through the Red Sea. This week we’ll memorize Isaiah 12:2, a verse from that day’s reading and reminder that God Himself is our salvation.

Indeed, God is my salvation;
I will trust him and not be afraid,
for the LORD, the LORD himself,
is my strength and my song.
He has become my salvation.
–Isaiah 12:2

I am reminded again in Revelation 7:9-12 (ESV)
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice,

“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying,

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Hi SRT sisters, loving this study. I first want to say to those that thought what had happened to Hagar was a terrible thing if you look at Genesis 16:3 it states that Hagar became Abram’s wife. I don’t know that she wanted to but she was married to him. Next I loved finding out about Shiphrah and Puah this is a Bible story I have never heard. I have grown up going to church and heard many stories.

I have to share a praise, my niece who has strayed from the Lord told me last week that she will be joining her boyfriend’s church next month. I am so excited because ever since my oldest son’s death, she, my other son and my nephew have strayed from Christ.

I need to ask for prayers sisters both for myself and for my brother-in-law. My brother-in-law, Bryan, is having a procedure on his heart valve because it’s not closing properly. The procedure is on Wednesday. Last week I went and got my eyes checked and found out that I might have glaucoma, I will know more after my tests on July 17th. I also need prayer for me because my depression has been keeping me from my Bible study and other activities I enjoy.

I am praying for all of you my sisters in Christ.

How often I try to make other things my strength. What a blessing to know that HE is my strength, no matter what I may think.

      Amen

  6. Sue says:

    God alone is my salvation.
It’s not because of anything I do. I cannot save myself.

Therefore I can trust Him and not be afraid for he is not only my source of strength but also my song and my joy.

  7. Melissa Graves says:

He is my strength and song and I praise Him. Thank You Jesus that You have become my salvation for there is salvation in no other.
