Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.
In our Lenten study of Isaiah, we are memorizing Scripture about God’s calling, judgment, and restoration of His people.
Yahweh, You are my God;
I will exalt You. I will praise Your name,
for You have accomplished wonders,
plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
– Isaiah 25:1

Seeing all of y’all’s comments encourages me so much, knowing that I am not alone in this. God is faithful. He will bring each of us through our fights with the enemy.
I need prayer to resist temptation, to stay true to my promises to God during this season of lent. Jesus sacrificed so much for us on the cross and during the 40 days he spent in the desert.. we can do this for Him.

Lifting up a prayer that you will feel more and more included and welcome in the circles you are in as you go about your life, but also that you feel even more included and welcomed in the embrace and “Always Open” sign of Christ. I too am so comforted that though others may exclude, HE never leaves us and is always faithful – and though we may hurt in our relationships or lack thereof on earth, His constance being ours forever makes all the difference to our hearts and our peace. I am ashamed of my brokenness because God said YES when I rather He’d said NO. My faithfulness and trust were shaken when the answer to my prayer took me out of my comfort zone and required me to make sacrifices.
I like to think I know what’s better for myself. I like to think that the life I want to have is my only option. I can’t be more wrong.
Lord, your plans have been formed long ago, how could I question them?
Forgive me from withholding my trust when things get rough. Forgive me from questioning your plans when they don’t fit my selfish schemes. Teach me to wake up every morning and put my life in your hands. Teach me that when I go to bed I can look back and see your mighty hands holding everything together.
Thank you for the powerful testimonies of your unwavering faithfulness and perfect goodness in your Word, in our own lives and in the lives of those around us.

I’m one that has to go back and reread, and reread to understand. I’m thankful for the comments as it helps me to understand. Also your prayers are greatly appreciated. This weekend our church’s High School Ministry was commissioned. Our teen son along with his pastor , other youth and adult leaders will be taking a missions trip to Mexico during spring break next week. Please pray for their safety and most of all that God would do an amazing work in our son and the rest of the youth who will be going.

‘In perfect faithfulness…’
All this destruction and desolation in Isaiah doesn’t feel like faithfulness to us. Faithfulness should be comfortable and soft and easy. I guess we’re learning that it’s not.
Faithfulness is about the heart of God crying out: ‘what more could have been done…?’ (5:4) It is about Him taking the hardest road of allowing His children to be hurt, because it is the only option left. And it is about Him yearning for us to leave all the things we gathered that really have no value at all and find our way home to Him.
I love reading all of your comments and honest shares. To me this study sums up the last five humbling years of my life. And now that I’ve lived through that this harsh book starts to make sense. I pray it has or it will for all of you lovely ladies too!
