Nehemiah 8:10b

Today, as a body of women, let’s meditate on and memorize God’s word. Not for our own glory or honor, but for the joy of our Father and the growth of His Truth in our hearts.

“And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10b

right now i am digesting psalms 116:12,13- What shall i render to the Lord for all of His benefits toward me? I wshall take up the cup of Salvation and call on the name of the Lord.
i think that it kind of 'support' scripture to Nehemiah 8:10!!!
He will forgive us alot more times than we can imagine…and He WANTS to!!
All we have to do is have faith…faith in His salvation…faith in His healing…FAITH IN HIS LOVE AND THE POWER OF HIS BLOOD!!!

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10 NIV)

Stripped bare with no will to continue
the desert is all I can see
Stripped bare, cast out, and abandoned
the ruins fall right at my feet

Stripped bare with nothing to offer
I fall in despair on my knees
Stripped bare, Lord God, I seek You
Send someone to watch over me.

And then on the breath of the morning
The prayers of others float free
And Lift with the wings of His goodness
    Clothing and strengthening me

Stripped bare of the sin and the darkness
God's grace in the petitions for me
Clothed in the strength of His Healing
    Surrounded by those who believe

Stripped bare of desire for the spotlight
Alive in the warmth of his love
    Stipped bare, gathered in, adopted
    Joy rains down from above.

And then on the breath of the morning
My prayers for others float free
They rise with the wind of His Healing
    Surrounding those who believe.

And then on the breath of the morning
    Gathered together we sing
And rise as one body before Him
Our Savior, our God and our King.

Yes the joy of the Lord is my strength. Last week has been the longest week ever but to God be the Glory. Sometimes we go through things in this life that we cannot understand but we know God has a bigger purpose for us. Holding on to Gods promises because He cannot lie. when all else fails, when people fail Jesus will be there and He promised that he will never leave us nor forsake us. Sisters let’s continue to be in the Joy of the Lord because He is our strength and our redeemer.

Oh Diana, my heart is with you- I pray you find peace and strength. Nothing can replace your Mom, (I know I lost mine in 2003) but of course time and the Lord pull us thru these difficult trials!
Thinking of you and praying for you Sister!

  5. Tabitha says:

Diana, I'm praying for you now, for God's comfort for you and that you would truly know the reality of the joy that comes from him, even in the midst of sadness and grief. He will be your strength and He will get you through the coming weeks.
It's amazing how God can speak so directly to us with the right words at our times of need. And also amazing how we can pray for each other, even though we're unlikely to meet this side of heaven. Sending you much love.
