Amen
ADRIENNE – I meant to mention the song title! Thank you for sharing the special memory the song has for you! ❤
GREAT ARE YOU LORD
by All Sons and Daughters.
You have brought a chuckle for me, too, on occasion.
I was reminded of this verse this week and I think I will add it to my sheet of memory verses.
“A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.”
Proverbs 17:22 NKJV
And, thank you for the chuckles, CEE GEE (auto correct) and TINA (circus). I’m still laughing. ❤️
So many needs. Lord, please bless all my sisters and their loved ones and friends in all that they need. You know all of these huge needs already, of course, and You are not scratching your head, wondering what is going on in their lives. You KNOW. We humbly lay our requests at Your feet and implore you to hear our many prayers. We know you will provide and heal. Your will be done. Amen.
GAYLE GARTIN and TERESA DONLEY… I emailed SRT, and they responded promptly that this “purchase error” is a known issue that their team is working on. (I thought it was trouble on my end… a long story. I am glad to know it is not just me, in other words.) I guess we need to continue to be patient.
Thank you, CEE GEE, for the song the other day. (I forgot to write down the title.) It is running through my head, non stop, as I type. But the last time we hosted two orphans through Forceforhope dot org, that song was played on the airwaves a LOT in the weeks that followed sending the kids back to Africa. We missed Yusufu and Glory so much! I needed His breath in my lungs to help me remember that He was with us. That song provided such comfort during a very sad time.
Sisters, I owe an apology for giving some wrong information yesterday. I had mentioned the box Joseph gave Jesus as a yong boy. I thought it had contained tassels but actually contained a bridle. Joseph explains the bridle is a reminder of how God delivered their ancestors from Egypt (it was the only possession they brought with them). Jesus later, when he starts His ministry, gets the box from His mother in the episode.I read where it’s wondered if He used it on the donkey as He road into Jerusalem. Again, I’m sorry for the wrong.
info. A symbol of Remembrance.
Hello Shes.
Here, there, everywhere.
Each day we remember & reinforce one another
in this community conversation, intimate & heartfelt.
God has brought us together for
His reason & our reward.
His purpose. His promise.
Powerful prayers in unison rising & never failing.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear sisters, wherever life takes you.
PS: My sleep may be schizophrenic,
but blessedly, through the night,
God meets me there.
He never sleeps or slumbers.
Someone mentioned yesterday that she was still having trouble with the app. Same here. The plan appears to be there now, but it says there is a purchase error.
Also, a couple of ladies asked about joining the FB group. Search for the group called “SRT She’s” the request to join, answering the question about participating in our daily studies.
Hey there! Unfortunately, we are still experiencing a glitch in our app that isn’t allowing People of Remembrance to download. We encourage you to keep checking back on the app for updates. In the meantime, feel free to read along through our website until we are able to get this issue fixed – https://shereadstruth.com/plans/people-of-remembrance/.
ALAYNA – I’m lifting you and your family in prayer today. I pray God wraps you in His love and comfort as you deal with such an unexpected and tragic loss.
Alayna… praying for you right now. I went back to look at what’s going on. I am so so sorry. praying for you and your family.
Dear SWEET Tina….. thank you! That means a lot to me. My daddy was the best!
Kelly (NEO): Thanks for asking. Steve had his last scan done this week. They have to make a special graft because of size and shape of the aneurysm. They will use the measurements from the scan to create the graft that they will use to try and fix his aortic aneurysm. As soon as the piece comes in, they will schedule the surgery. It has been a long wait for him filled with much anxiety.
Oh how I love this group of women! We pray for each other, cry with each other, laugh with each other…and we have never met physically! But I know we will recognize each other when we meet in heaven. ❤️
So many of you had such awful news this week! Prayers for each of you go up: ALAYNA, TRACI GENDREN, the Molden family, little Arlo…
And Tina, that was hilarious!!
We are plugging away here and Steve is really building his strength and working hard on balance, which is difficult when there is no feeling in his feet still. But that could take years to recover so the hard work continues. The PT/OT center has given him a discharge date of March 8 since he is doing so well. At that time we will probably join a gym in order for him to have access to weight machines and such so he can continue to gain strength. I so appreciate all of your prayers because this has been a difficult road. As Tina called it “my Emmaus road”.
This study is so good…forcing me to remember all the ways God has provided, and protected; all the times He has stayed with us and given us strength and comfort. So much!!
Hugs to all ❤️
We are traveling tomorrow to celebrate my mother’s 85th birthday!
“He remembers his covenant forever—the promise he ordained for a thousand generations.” Is so aptly tucked in the middle of David’s Psalm of Thanks that we read of in 1 Chronicles 16:7-36. As David continues his song, he instructs – “Sing to the Lord…proclaim his salvation…declare his glory…” why? “For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise…” (I Chronicles 16:22-23)
Praising God this morning for his faithfulness to a thousand generations (and counting!). God is so good, how can we not praise him and tell others of his wonderful acts. He is steadfast, unchanging, always the same — and always with us! praise His name!! Thank you father God for your faithfulness, even when we are not. Thank you for your goodness. Thank you for your ever presence. Be with each of my sisters today, as we go about our daily tasks, and may each of us always remember your presence right here beside us.
@For those of you still looking for the FaceBook page it’s SRT SHE’S.
@Buttonberry – in answer to the question you asked yesterday – “How did Adam and Eve know how to sew?” My answer to that would be, God gave them the skill – just as he skills and gifts people today. Every ability we have comes from God. One verse that gives reference to it is Exodus 36:1, there are more I just didn’t have time to look them all up.
@Mari V – praying for your friend and the families who are grieving at this time.
@Martha Hix – praying that your friend made it safely through surgery and that he will have a quick recovery.
@Traci Gendron – I’m so sorry that you have been hit with this. Praying that it turns out to be nothing, may God give you strength today to overcome. This came up in my reading and I thought of you – “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders he has done, His miracles…” (1 Chronicles 16:11-12) ❤️
@Alayna – I am so, so sorry for your loss. How tragic. I can’t imagine receiving that news. Praying for you and your family today. May you feel God’s loving hands wrapped around you, and may you lean into Him as you navigate through the process of your loss. Much love and prayers for you all. ❤️✝️
Happy Saturday to you all, may each of us walk in the love and grace of Jesus today!
Traci Gendron, praying you would experience God’s peace over your circumstances today. A peace that passes all understanding, He will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.
”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“
John 14:27 NIV
He remembers his covenant forever,
the promise he ordained
for a thousand generations. PSALM 105:8 NLT
ALAYNA, My heart goes out to you and your family as you struggle with the tragic loss of your precious brother. As TINA said, may you feel God’s arms wrapped tightly around you through these days. ❤
For ALAYNA, TRACI GENDRON, THERESA and other dear sisters who have had their feet knocked out from under them this week, here is the verse of the day on Biblegateway:
Romans 8:35, 37 –
“Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”Praying in agreement with each prayer on each heart. ❤
TINA – ❤
SEARCHING – ❤
BUTTONBERRY – I don’t sew much anymore, but I made most of my ‘good clothes’ when I was in high school. I saved my scraps for my grandmother to use in crazy quilts. When I got married she gave me one with most of my scraps in it! Such a sweet surprise!
The underlying truth for me this week is Hod is faithful. He never changes!
TINA Amen!
Praying for all of you!
You all bring tears to my eyes (which I do a lot lately). Thank you so much for covering me in prayer. It means the world to me.
Oh God help me hold onto you as I’m going through so many past feelings. Feelings I had to hold inside to be strong for Tanner and my husband. They seem to be flooding me lately. You can’t hold down feelings forever. They seem to come in little doses which I am so thankful for. I’m trying to be still and know that you are my God.
ERB – always love to see what you share with us ❤️
TINA – loved “GOD, never changes. He will be the same GOD for my great grands, and that warms my heart.”❤️
MARINA – prayers for the Moldens as they go through this rough patch
TRACI GENDRON – Agreeing with others that this spot is nothing. Pray you can rest in Jesus while you wait.
ALAYNA – I’m so sorry for your sudden loss. Praying the Lord’s peace envelopes your family at this sad time.
MARTHA HIX – Praying for Jesse and his surgery recovery.
DENISE and DEE DEE – HELLO! Thanks for letting us “meet” you
MARI V – thankful John is free. Prayers for the family during this time in the valley.
RHONDA J – thankful for how God is using you to reach the ladies in jail. May much fruit come of it.
THERESA – continued prayers for Arlo’s healing.
GRAMSIESUE, LYNNE FROM AL, LINDA IN NC, DIANE MOM, and LAUREN GW – prayers for courage and strength as you care for your husbands
ANNIE – hope new Rx will give your dad relief
INDIANA ELAINE – when is Steve’s surgery?
CATHERINE MCVEY – do you have a new statt date for your treatment?
A WALTON – any news on closing the sale for the land?
God keeps His promises. In a world where people don’t make keeping promises a priority, where technology “advancements” are blurring an already iffy line between authentic/fake words and images – God keeps His promises … every day, every time. Hallelujah!
ALAYNA – I am so so sorry to read the heartbreaking news about your brother. Praying for you and your family in the difficult times ahead. ❤️
GAYLE GARTIN – same with the app. You can email them: hello at SheReadsTruth dot com
TRACI GENDRON – praying as you sort out the truth for your eye, and the Lord will guide you to the right doctors for accurate diagnosis and for the correct treatment if any is needed ❤️
MARTHA HIX – good to see you. Praying for your friend Jesse’s healing
CEE GEE – so true about memory and particular translations! I can only do the one I learned. ❤️
MARI V – praying for Michelle’s family as they mourn John, and rejoice that he is with His sacrifice.
MARINA – praying for Jamie’s healing and surgery
LYNNE FROM AL, NANCY S, LINDA IN NC and other caregivers- praying for strength and guidance on this journey ❤️
Alayna- So sorry for your loss of your brother. The lord be near and comfort you.
Traci- Prayers that the spot on your eye is not melanoma. I guess I didn’t know Tom had cancer. Sorry you went through that and still have that worry.
Hope you dear Sisters have a good wkd. We have Serve My City this morning so I don’t have much time to lolligag…! But I am liking this study on Remembrance.
The Facebook page is “SRT-SHE”s” If you have not been accepted yet- Be sure to answer the question that you are part of a bible study….not only YES…BUT She Reads Truth!
Making a point to reflect on God’s faithfulness to keep his covenants. I’m thankful that he remains faithful, even as we do not.
ALAYNA- praying for peace and comfort for you and your family in this difficult time.
I have to admit, I never really liked Grace Days. I just wanted to read and learn more, more devotions, more of your comments. But with Jesus, less is more. Less of me, more of Him.
Because of Jesus, there is grace – He forgives my sins.
Because of Jesus, there is peace – He frees my from my self-centeredness.
Because of Jesus, we can rest – because in Him, we have all we need.
All we need…
These thoughts led me to a quote from Prayer written by Tim Keller where he writes that the root of all your problems is that “you are rich in Christ, but nevertheless living poor.”
Do I really grasp the depths of his love? Or do I let my own thoughts, desires, and bad habits take over, forgetting that He is in control?
Dear Father,
Thank you for Grace Days. Thank you for giving us a moment to rest and remember who you are and who we are in Christ.
I ask you, inspired by Paul’s words in Ephesians 3, to give us the glorious inner strength of your Spirit. That we open the door for Jesus and invite him in our hearts so we can grasp the dimensions of your love for us: the lengths, the widths, the heights and the depths.
Let us live full lives in You.
To You be the glory.
AMEN.
DEE DEE – Hope to see more of you! Either in the comments, and/or on Facebook.
ALAYNA – Dear sister, I am so sorry. I pray that you feel God’s love and presence wrapped around you as you mourn the loss of your brother.

Absolutely REMEMBERING “…Remember his covenant forever—
the promise he ordained for a thousand generations.
Isn’t it amazing, that a promise ordained thousands of years ago still holds?
Still is worth it’s weight?
Still can be trusted today? I mean, come on… Today?
I am in awe..
Yesterday.
Today.
Forever.
GOD, never changes. He will be the same GOD for my great grands, and that warms my heart.❤
