Sisters, on Thursday evening my sister, Carol, was moved to a hospice house. Yesterday she did well but today she is not doing as well. Her blood pressure is real low and her skin is moddling again. She is having labored breathing despite the medicines. Thank you for all your prayers.

Be blessed and know God, Christ and the Holy Spirit are at your side all the time, as I know this now.

It is the SRT and other devotionals that have kept me going this last week and a half.

  2. Caprice Robinson says:

I pray that god gives you the willpower to start doing yoga to help and gives you the money to see a chiropractor about it.

Hi! I’m popping back on. I’m reading the Enduring Word commentary online from John 17 in which Jesus prayed and what we read during our last study. I thought this part was very helpful and gave a way to pray for unbelievers. Here is what is written in the commentary: a. You have given Him authority over all flesh: Jesus claimed to have authority over all flesh with the ability to give eternal life to mankind. This is a clear and startling claim to deity; no One but God could truthfully and knowingly make this claim.

    i. Jesus here claimed “authority to determine the ultimate destiny of men.” (Takser)

ii. This gives us new hope for evangelism and missionary work, knowing that Jesus has authority over all flesh. Even for those who reject Jesus or are ignorant of Him, even if they do not know it or acknowledge it, Jesus has authorityover them. We can pray in faith and ask Jesus to exercise that authority over those who have yet to repent and believe.

iii. You have given Him authority over all flesh: Philippians 2:5-11 is a demonstration of this, that all will recognize the authority of Jesus; every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Wow! Praying for Jesus to exercise His authority over those who have yet to repent and believe. Amen!

I’m reading through comments from today and yesterday. I usually am on very early in the morning and don’t see what is written after. I started tearing up. In agreement with the prayers said and will pray now too. I teach and there is a lot going on in schools and all around.
I pray that everyone living and breathing today, by God’s grace and mercy, would be drawn to see Him rightly and their sin rightly. I pray that they would have an encounter with the living God and be changed for ever! I ask that they cry out in repentance and feel the joy of forgiveness! I pray that they and we would hate what God hates and love what He loves. I ask that laws and standards be changed, because the Bible becomes the Standard on how to live. I ask that all care more about what God thinks than men, and that His name is glorified and praised! May we all be overwhelmed by God’s power, mercy, and grace! Amen

    Good morning She’s!

Could you please say a prayer for my back pain, it is really getting me this morning. :/

I love that the word says that we are a new person with the Spirit in us. I look back over my life though and see that we really have to pray and let the Spirit be forefront in our life, too many times my flesh still wanted to run the show. Although we are not saved by works, if we have faith the more “works” we will WANT to do for the Lord and to be his hands and feet. Then we recognize the Spirit more and more by walking in that faith. We see a lot of church people that get saved accepting the Lord, but yet they only go to church weekly and then there is no evidence in their lives, which in turn turns off non-believers. Non-believers don’t see the worth in it, or worse, see christians as hypocritical in their actions. How do we figure this out? I am a life long follower, but am just now, in my fifties, really seeing all the fruits flowing out. Sigh. Confusing sometimes. But I don’t want to be lukewarm, I want to rejoice and scream from the rooftops, and let people SEE the evidence of my Lord and Saviour!! Thank you God, thank you.

Tami C- The gift of tongues/interpretation is another one of those misunderstood areas. I think Kelly said it well. I really only remember seeing a few broadcast flipping channels of people “falling down” and speaking in tongues, and dismissing it as crazy. lol But again, being more a mature Christian now, I know it is a gift, and not meant for everyone just like the other gifts.

  6. Jeanie Mclellan says:

    Amen

  7. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

A new heart and a new spirit – hallelujah! Forever grateful that God has redeemed me and given me new life!!

@Heidi – praying for your housing situation. May God give you and your husband the wisdom to know what to do each step of the way – especially for your summer plans. May His will be done.
@Mia Faith – I am so, so sorry to hear of the loss of your son and the attempted suicide of your 14 year old grandchild. How sad it is for our young people to be without hope. May God give you His perfect peace and continue to comfort your heart. I pray that your grandchild will find healing, know that they are loved and be able to grasp the love that Jesus has for them.
@Mary Walsh – Welcome to the SRT community!

    Ladies have a blessed Saturday!

  8. Kelly (NEO) says:

Thanks be to God that He is the one who changes my stoney heart.

HEIDI – how is your niece doing? Praying the Lord gives you clear direction

MIA FAITH – standing in the gap for you and your family! Lord, in Jesus’ name, I ask that You erect a hedge of protection around the enemy’s attacks of Mia’s family. Pour out a supernatural peace on them. Open their eyes to see You and to turn to You for wisdom and comfort. Bring healing and wholeness, especially to her grandchild.

TAMI C – adding my two cents about the baptism of the Holy Spirit/speaking in tongues. As one who has experienced both, I would urge you to trust God with the gifts He has already given you. Ernestly seek Him and to manifest His love to those around you. (1Cor.12:4-11, 27- 13:13) Should your circle of influence benifit from the addional gifts, God will see to it you have them.
