Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Isaiah 53:5

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

But he was pierced because of our rebellion,
crushed because of our iniquities;
punishment for our peace was on him,
and we are healed by his wounds.
—Isaiah 53:5

    Praising Jesus for brand new life every morning. So grateful to be healed by someone willing to take my place so I could be with Him one day. Thank you, Father! ❤️❤️❤️

    My granddaughter Alex (8 yrs old) is getting baptized tomorrow. Our adult children and grands are coming today to celebrate together. It is such a blessing to see the legacy of worshipping and obeying Christ continue thru the generations. My parents and grandparents raised their children in church and I now watch my children as they continue the tradition.
    Prayers for many of you today and especially your mother’s cousin Wendy, Taylor.
    Hugs to all. Enjoy your weekend ❤️

    I just read this from the Enduring Word Commentary online: i. “‘He hath poured out his soul unto death.’ I will say no more about it, except that you see how complete it was. Jesus gave poor sinners everything. His every faculty was laid out for them. To his last rag he was stripped upon the cross. No part of his body or of his soul was kept back from being made a sacrifice. The last drop, as I said before, was poured out till the cup was drained. He made no reserve: he kept not back even his innermost self: ‘He hath poured out his soul unto death.’” (Spurgeon)
    So amazing! Blessings to you all!

    I was actually wanting to read the commentary on Isaiah 53, because this passage is astounding! I can’t fathom all He endured to save, heal, and deliver. Worthy is the Lamb to be praised! He is our only Hope! Amen!
    Ladies, I started watching a YouTube video by John MacAuthor called; God’s Own Commentary on the Cross. I would put the link, but I think they have to moderate it first. If you type in those words, the reporting should come up. One is 28 minutes and the other is 38. I started listening before bed, so I paused because I don’t want to miss this teaching. Praying for you all!
