Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Hebrews 13:15

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Therefore, through him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
—Hebrews 13:15

To better understand what a “sacrifice of praise” meant, I googled it. Got Answers states the following: “When we bring a “sacrifice of praise,” we choose to believe that, even though life is not going as we think it should, God is still good and can be trusted (Psalm 135:2; Nahum 1:7). When we choose to praise God in spite of the storms, He is honored, and our faith grows deeper (Malachi 3:13-17; Job 13:15).” This verse in Hebrews ties directly to the Psalms, as I am sure SRT intended. Both help to strengthen my understanding of how to praise God is all circumstances.

@Carol M thank you so much for your sweet comment :) My best friend since the 2nd grade’s name is Carol. She’s getting married in October and I got to go for her final dress fitting yesterday as co-maid-of-honor with our other best friend of almost 20 years. I am blessed by their friendship and feeling blessed that you are thinking of and praying for me <3

On the theme of worship songs I think ‘Worthy of it all’ by Hillsong is apt for today’s verse…

For sure He us so worthy of it all!

    Amen.

Happy Saturday dear hearts, wrapped in love and prayers from across the pond..❤

I so appreciate your prayers and the support that this wonderful group of sisters provides!

Friends, please keep Taylor in your prayers… For some reason God keeps bringing her to my ♥️ and mind.

It s always good to see comments from sisters we haven’t heard from for a while… welcome back dear Churchmouse and Victoria… I’m sure I’m missing some… wondering about ERB and was it Maura who interacted with her?? And schoolteacher Angie… her post’s were also inspiring! Well now I m rambling… at any rate, I thank God for each one of you, and pray as He brings you to my mind!

Good morning ladies! Asking for prayer. I developed a sore throat on Thursday night and broke a small fever last night. Thankfully I tested negative for COVID last night and this morning but had to turn down a college field hockey game today to rest and protect others. Prayers for improved health so I can still do my game tomorrow and I have a busy work week coming up. Thank you and I hope everyone has a blessed Saturday <3
