Day 14

Grace Day

Numbers 24:17

BY She Reads Truth

Advent is a season to celebrate and contemplate. We rejoice that our Savior has come to us! We also seek unhurried moments of quiet to reflect on His wondrous light and the promise of His future return. Take time today to pause from the busyness of the season to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

I see him, but not now;
I perceive him, but not near.
A star will come from Jacob,
and a scepter will arise from Israel.
–Numbers 24:17

    We are glad to hear from my Kentucky friends! Glad your home is ok @Kat Mooore.

    @Carrie and Ashley, I am from Western Ky as well (West Paducah) and live in SW Florida too!! (South Fort Myers!) Crazy.

    There was one more from Kentucky-glad you are ok! Prayers for all of you.

    I have a praise, that we invited my friend and her daughter to church with us again and they said sure and went! Love that. You never know who you can invite, and could change their life with seed planting. This girl had never been to church except the previous time! I want her to grow up knowing the love of God in this crazy secular world.

    Pam, thank you for checking on us. I am a Bowling Green Ky resident and the devastation is immense. My home was completely saved but just streets ahead of mine there is a ton of damage. I feel so blessed but I’m completely heart broken.

    So glad they are okay! I am from western KY too and now live in SW Florida. It is heartbreaking to see the pics and videos from Mayfield.

    Oh ladies. I was born and raised in western Kentucky, but currently live in Florida. When I woke up to the news this morning, I immediately tried to reach my parents and other family members. I was only able to reach my brother, and he lives almost an hour away from my parents. In desperation, I commented on Facebook posts and even called the sheriff of the very rural town my parents live in to no avail. My parents live 2 miles down a dirt road on 100 acres. My mind was giving me all the worst case scenarios. Finally around noon, my mom called me from a different phone. Praise God they are okay. No phones or internet, but they are unscathed. They have found tons of debris on their property. So many people are not so lucky. Shes, please join me in praying for my fellow Kentuckians and all those affected by these horrific tornadoes.
