1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always!
Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Gratitude is not just an emotion. Rejoicing is not a passive pursuit. The Bible instructs us to declare God’s goodness in every circumstance! We are to pray, seek, and give thanks with an expectant, joyful heart. THIS is God’s will for us.

His love for you is steadfast, no matter the path you’re walking.
His promises hold fast, even when your world is crumbling.
In everything, He is good. In everything give thanks.

No matter whether I’m in the highs or lows, I can always be certain of something- that God has given us so many gifts when we don’t deserve any of them. HE paid the price for all sinners, and yet we are the ones who almost never stop to think about how many things we have to be thankful for. Only the Lord can be so gracious and merciful to a world of people who are the opposite!❤️

There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. Lord, help me to continually praise you— on the hilltops and in the valleys. Thank you for walking beside me and never leaving.
