Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always!
Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Gratitude is not just an emotion. Rejoicing is not a passive pursuit. The Bible instructs us to declare God’s goodness in every circumstance! We are to pray, seek, and give thanks with an expectant, joyful heart. THIS is God’s will for us.
His love for you is steadfast, no matter the path you’re walking.
His promises hold fast, even when your world is crumbling.
In everything, He is good. In everything give thanks.

Thank you, God, for your goodness in my life, in every season and in every circumstance. Your steadfastness amazes me! In a world that is always changing, full unknowns and uncertainties, YOU are the Rock that I cling to – the Rock that never changes. No matter what my circumstances are, I know that I have no need or want because I am in Christ. Oh Lord, how great is your mercy towards me!
I did this exercise and was pleasantly surprised by what I had written. It challenged me to really think about it and thank you for making me do it!

HEIDI – What a teachable moment for your daughter! (If you’re like me you will see a message in it for you, too!) Continued prayers for you as you finish this term and adding prayer for your daughter. Our son dreamed of playing college baseball, but a medical issue got in the way. He now is having a blast coaching his son.
SUE DALOS – I’m also thankful when I have quiet time early in the mornings! And I usually do – but not this week.
SARAH D – thank you for the praise report! Will be praying for you.
HEIDI – praying for your daughter, and for gymnastics to ultimately turn out according to God’s will. Wise words of advice you gave her. Praying that her trust and faith are strengthened through this trial, and for the protection a “no” may provide as things are not always what we think.
