Grace Day

Open Your Bible

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always!
Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Gratitude is not just an emotion. Rejoicing is not a passive pursuit. The Bible instructs us to declare God’s goodness in every circumstance! We are to pray, seek, and give thanks with an expectant, joyful heart. THIS is God’s will for us.

His love for you is steadfast, no matter the path you’re walking.
His promises hold fast, even when your world is crumbling.
In everything, He is good. In everything give thanks.

Happy Saturday dear she’s. I praise the Lord for the spring rain that has just started today- the rain that I have been longing and waiting for! Lifting your prayer requests to the King of Glory. May His tender mercies and loving kindness surround you and your loved ones. I pray you have a fantastic weekend full of joy & peace in your hearts. Be blessed dear sisters.

Hi ladies!! Praying for your daughter @Heidi and for you @Michelle Patire!! I have a praise that I forgot to mention…I have an interview with a Christian school in the area on May 15th! It would be for an elementary teaching position! This is the only job I’ve heard back from so far, so I am praying that this could work out. Thank you for your prayers everyone, I truly appreciate it. Thankful for this weekend, for time talking with friends and time to rest.

So, my 11 year old little lady has an ongoing prayer request this summer. I don’t remember if posted but the other night while roughhousing with her brother, her finger got completely bent back. Gratefully it is not broken but it is sprained and significantly injured. She has been working with a personal trainer for gymnastics and working hard to try to have the skills necessary to make it onto a competitive team this fall. The injury happened this week and her evaluations for competition team were supposed to be today. She’s clearly disappointed that she is unable to attend. They have offered that potentially there may be space to try out for a coach in July, however they are using today’s evaluations to fill their teams so the chances of there being an open spot are pretty slim. I had the chance to talk to her today that God’s timing is perfect we can trust it even when we don’t understand it. I told her that we will be intentional this summer, praying that if God sees good in her being on a team this fall that he will leave a spot open for her because whatever the Lord wills to do absolutely nothing and no one can get in the way of. And if he decides this fall was not the right time, we will have a gratitude that he looks out for us and is protecting her from something that we can’t see.
In addition, just praying for her heart to be peaceful in trusting, and that this can be an experience God uses for her to learn more about him and his trustworthiness.

I’m echoing what CEE GEE posted as it’s one of my favorite verses for each day:
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. ” Psalm 118:24

If you are in mourning, if you’re in celebration, if you’re overwhelmed, if you’re feeling peaceful rest… it doesn’t matter what the situation is, it is still a day that God has brought you into and another opportunity to experience His life-giving grace and love. He orchestrated this day and intentionally placed you in it- how will you reflect His goodness in it?? :)

I am on the “overwhelmed” part of the list this morning but I will rejoice in Him to complete in me all He has planned for today. I’m so unbelievably behind, what I have in front of me seems literally impossible to complete.
Praying his clarity of thought, understanding of the task, wisdom in how I complete it, energy, motivation and encouragement to keep going.

Grateful for all of YOU this morning!! ❤️

MICHELLE PATIRE- that is frightening to have your information stollen… praying for the situation to be handled well and protection over your family.
