Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading. Each Saturday, we will read a section from God’s response to Job in chapter 38.
“Where were you when I established the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
Who fixed its dimensions? Certainly you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
What supports its foundations?
Or who laid its cornerstone
while the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

I am trying to learn how to study the bible and I will say sometimes I am a bit confused. Any suggestions?

Check out the seamless study plan! It goes through the entire bible, but only hits the high notes so be aware of that. It helped me get a foundation though!

God, thank you for your love and care for Debbie and her son, Mari and the hard decisions she is facing and the safety she needs, and for Sarah as she returns to college knowing the building called, “home” will never be the same. May each one lay themselves and their needs securely in your hands. Hold them and provide as only you are able. We love you Father and long for that love to sustain us, shine into us and through us to a dark world. Holy Father, Lord, blessed be your name.
God not only was THERE at the beginning, He is the reason and cause of our beginning. He knows the beginning, the past, the now, the future, and the end. I can trust Him because He has always been and always will be. And He loves me. What comfort!
His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8)
I may not always understand, but God knows my heart and he alone knows what is best for me. Thank you Father ♥️
We sit up so high on our own thrones it is hard for us to acknowledge God on THE throne. Reading these verses causes me to step down from my makeshift throne and fall down and worship. Holy holy holy, Lord God almighty!
God is in control. Tomorrow I go back to school, leaving my childhood home that I’ve lived in all my life, that is being sold. It’s so sad to say goodbye to it. But thankful for all the memories with my amazing family. I am the youngest in my family, and my other siblings are already living on their own. I’m in college, but I’ve still always come back to this house. I feel like it’s harder for me to say goodbye than my siblings. I wish things didn’t have to change. But, I know God is in control, and my parents will be able to hopefully get some rest after their retire soon. Please pray for my family and I (especially my parents who have been sick this week)…for comfort and peace when we leave this house. Love you all!

You’re right. Sometimes it’s harder for you than your siblings, and at another point in life it will be the other way around. So just acknowledging that is really great, and praying about it as you are. God is holding you all close. I’m praying for you and your folks too. He is in control. ❤️
Sarah, be encouraged. I was in your place a few years ago, as I am getting ready to graduate college in a few weeks now, and leaving your comfort zone and place of safety can be scary and unsettling. It helped me to remember that my comfort is not in people, things, or even familiar places, but in Christ who is always going with me into the new, into the scary, and the unfamiliar territory.
Don’t fear when you step away from what feels safe, because really the one who protects you is comforting you wherever you are. I had to give up all of my “security blankets” so to speak, when I left for college and left behind all those that I felt safe with and the places I felt comfortable, but God was quick to remind me that he goes before me, behind me, and with me. He will take care of you and give you comfort as you leave your childhood home behind! He is with you always!
Praying that you and your family are able to press into Jesus’ peace during this time. ❤️
