I love what you said there “playing church” I feel there are many times in my life I was doing that and just going through the motions and not intentionally growing my relationship with God

I never thought of the ending of John 6 in this way. What you said really hit home fire me. Thanks for sharing.

So many good things this morning! 1) Abraham was immediately obedient with circumcision for the men in his household. He didn’t argue. He just did it. 2) The ending of John 6. How often did I “play church?” How often did I just do things that made me sound and look like I had my act together? I think about those times now and wonder if I would have been considered a “Judas.” He went along with everything and got to have a front row seat to the miracles and teaching, but he didn’t allow it to penetrate his heart. And then, Jesus knew! That’s a “duh” statement, but Jesus knew Judas wasn’t being real. But Jesus allowed Judas to be there anyway. That’s what He did for me all those years I wasn’t being real and I was abusing my relationship with Him.

Jesus is the bread of life. I need to focus on Him. Everything else is just distractions.
