  1. Holly Shepstone says:

today’s reading for John really helped me open my eyes to how amazing Jesus really is. Not only was he helping so many with his signs and blessings, but once he was getting noticed for them, he left. He didn’t want attention, he was doing all of these things for God, and wanted nothing in return. That is how we should all be.

  2. Brittany Reimers says:

My favorite part was that Jesus went to the mountain to be alone after he became too popular. The people wanted to make him a king but he isn’t of worldly things- he isn’t a worldly king. In this moment I feel as though he is showing how humble he truly is. He doesn’t want the title of king, he just wants to spread gods word.

I struggle sometimes with my faith and continue to hold tight to Jesus the last part of this reading is strong to me. I will continue to follow Jesus all the days of my life even more so when I am tempted by unbelief.

  7. Rena Olsen says:

27Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” Yes, thank you Lord for this powerful reminder. I am in awe of your living word.

  8. Tinette Mella says:

Verse 65 He said “this is why I said to you that no one can come to me unless it is grand to him by the Father”.
How can we know that we are chosen? How can we ascertain that our faith in Jesus is not futile or pointless, and that we may not have eternal life because we were not chosen?
I have similar quarrels about the Lamb’s Book of Life which says that everyone that will go to heaven had been decided a long time ago.

    2. Brittney Garvey says:

Ephesians 1:13 says “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit” – it is my understanding that when we have true faith we are sealed with the Holy Spirit for our future inheritance, eternal life with God. We know we are sealed when, in walking with Jesus in faith, we see the fruits of the spirit in our life as God sanctifies us. I pray that helps!
