  1. Holly Wiseman says:

28Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
These verses confuse me! In the translation I’m reading ESV does it sound like not everyone will be judged?

Why do God’s promises take so long? What a mess we can make when we try to Help God.
God, help me to trust You. I know You are faithful and keep Your word.

There is a lot to chew on here in these passages. Convicting, challenging, questioning, and bringing me to repenting where I have not allowed Jesus to fully rule my life. Am I reading the scriptures to “get it done” and make me feel better without truly allowing His working power in my life? I am going to put John 5:39-40 on a card to see daily as a reminder to Seek Him First.

    That line hit me too.

  7. Melanie Politanski says:

39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. ~ What a reminder on how we are to approach knowing God!

Day 6 done. This year will be great. Do you want to know why? Because God is faithful. His promises are true last year and we must proclaim His promises this year. Praise God. He cares for us deeply and wants a relationship with us. Not only should we read but let us have conversation with Him throughout the day.
