Genesis 13:17–“Arise, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I will give it to you”—reminds me of Ephesians 3:17-19–“…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Abram was given these promises from God about the land God would give him and the offspring that was to come. Abram was called to step in to these promises and explore what God had for him. It is the same for us! Because of Jesus, we are given the promise of His love and of His presence. May we explore this promise today, to know the length and the breadth and the depth of God’s love and God’s presence in our lives more than we have before!
“Do you want to be well?” This hit me today. Do I want to break destructive speech patterns? Do I want to let the Holy Spirit transform me from the inside? Yes. I want to be well Father.
