  1. Ester Lau says:

Sorry I got it wrong. The other gospel that tells this ‘let down your net’ story is Luke. I’m going to check before I comment next time.

  2. Ester Lau says:

7That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.
In the other gospels, they recorded Peter saying ‘I’m a sinful man’ when he realised it was Jesus. In John, Peter threw himself into the sea without saying anything. I thought it was so funny. Perhaps he was so embarrassed and ashamed of his failing. Yet look at what Jesus did for him; He cooked him breakfast. The grace of God that is undeserving.

  3. Ester Lau says:

23So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”
Jesus the knew the ending before the beginning yet he rarely gives us the details. He always leaves room for trust.

  4. Natalie Chung says:

“The Lord gave and the Lord had taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job shows such a beautiful image of trust. Even though everything had been taken from him did not sin or charge God with wrong. I also loved how Job’s friends came along side him and carried his burdens with him. Such an amazing image of what the family of Christ looks like.

  5. Jenette McEntire says:

Have always loved the end of John’s gospel. The world cannot contain the full work of Christ indeed!

I think it’s beautiful in John 21 where it says that if every thing that Jesus has done was written down it would be so great that the world would not be able to contain all of it. many of us blame God when bad things happen, we need to look from a different perspective and see that God does not wish any harm or evil against us but he will turn harm and evil into good and healing. So Lord please forgive me. Forgive me for blaming you forgive me for not obeying and listening to you above all. Help me Lord. Thank you I love you, Amen
