    3. I hello my children methodist by writing the verse on a marker board. Each time we say the verse we erase one word until we have no words left. I pot a line where each word had been weaved. If they have, I will put the first letter of the word at the beginning of the space.

The word grace is a key word for me in this verse. Contrary to what some believe, grace and mercy are not synonymous. Grace is the God given ability and desire to do His will. Mercy is the forgiveness we have not earned not deserve. God gives us grace to help lead us to Him as well as to help keep from sinning. Mercy is what God gives us when we fail to do what its right. So one is what is given before and one is what is given to is us as we repent after we sin. God is so good!

To memorize I have found the following to be helpful.

    1. Say the verse over and over, and each time stress a new word. Example… First time you say it stress first word, second time second word, etc… This also helps you study the verse as you meditate on each word.

    2. Once you have gone over the verse a few times, write only the first letter of each word and use that to repeat. Example for this verse, fbgyastf; atnoy: iiagoG, nowlamsb.

Sometimes, God uses our own personal experiences to remind us of what He saved us from. I have come to grips with myself over the last 6 days of this study and understood everything in my very own life that God saved me from, even as a Christian. I am living proof that God can see everything as a whole before I even see it. I completely understand now, and I am smiling because it shows all the more that God is on my side.
I do not thank Him enough, and I need to start doing so.

To all the ladies of this community who do not understand why God is taking them through certain things in their lives right now, here's some encouragement:
    – Romans 8:28
    – John 13:7
    – Hebrews 12:11
    – James 1:12
    – John 5:17

God only allows you to experience things for the duration of His purpose – and not a second longer. =) So, hold on! God is doing a work in you!

What an absolute relief to know that in spite of ourselves, with all our imperfections, God freely gives us, by grace and an amazing unendless love, everything we need to live in His peace & love. As soon as this verse is accepted as truth, allows us to exceed any obstacle or challenge.

I’ve found it easier to memorize a specific verse by either using a bookmark or making a note out of it and adding my own reflections/thoughts to it. God really keeps His promises and I say it now out loud… Even in my darkest moments I can always see His light; carrying me when I can no longer do it on my own. That’s why I love this verse so much because it is indeed the heart of it all. His grace has saved us but we must continue to earn it with our actions so one day we may be rewarded with the heavenly promise. Be blessed!

What a great reminder! What a verse to find rest in. Love Gods word. He tells us of his purpose for his glory. Not manifested by our selves but as a gift from him. How humbling is that?

I love the end: "so that no one can boast". We didn't do anything! All we did was sin and make it necessary to be saved. God saved by grace. We can't do anything to earn it. Not even our faith was our own doing. Even that was "a gift of God." This way we can't say look how awesome I am. I did all these things and now I am saved. All we can say is how awesome of a God we have that he would love us so much to save us in spite of our own wicked hearts and love us so unconditionally. Wow.

Good Morning ladies. This verse is especially important to me because of the key word “FAITH”. In our everyday lives it’s often challenging to remember to have, and keep faith. When battling w/ day-to-day priorities, and disappointments, this verse will be my salvation. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of your own doing; it is the gift of God”.

Valid point. I am just discovering She Reads Truth and falling in love with it and digging into the archives haha. But yes, I love this verse for that reason as well.
