Psalm 8:3-4

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

For this plan, we are memorizing our key passage, Psalm 8:3–4. We will continue with the fifth line.

When I observe your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you set in place,
what is a human being that you remember him,
a son of man that you look after him?
—Psalm 8:3–4

Lord, your creation is so vast and beautiful, and yet you notice me. Thank you for seeing me, for caring for humanity, for giving us worth. Help me live in a way that honors this care. Fill me with humility and gratitude.

    Rhonda J ‘s comment brought this song to mind;

    JESUS WE LOVE YOU
    All things have passed away
Your love has stayed the same
Your constant grace remains the cornerstone
Things that we thought were dead
    Are breathing in life again
You caused your son to shine on darkest nights
For all that you’ve done we will pour out our love
This will be our anthem song
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore
The hopeless have found their hope
The orphans now have found a home
All that was lost has found it’s place in you
    Ohhhh
    You lift our weary hands
    You make us strong instead
You took these rags and made us beautiful
For all that you’ve done we will pour out our love
This will be our anthem song
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore
    Our hearts adore
You are the one our hearts adore
    Our hearts adore
    Our affection
    Our devotion
Poured out on the feet of Jesus
    Our affection
    Our devotion
Poured out on the feet of Jesus
    Our affection
    Our devotion
Poured out on the feet of Jesus
    Our affection
    Our devotion
Poured out on the feet of Jesus
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore
    We love you Jesus
    You are our heart’s desire
We pour our love on you like oil
We want to tell you, “love you”
We sing this song to you, Jesus
We want to tell you, you are everything
    We love you, Jesus
    We love you, Jesus
    Because you first loved us
    Jesus we love you
    Oh, how we love you
You are the one our hearts adore

Oh how the comments about our aching, sagging bodies resonate in this season of pain and inactivity! Some days are worse than others but all are rough. Poor Gene has to help care for me instead of me taking care of him. This certainly hasn’t helped his cognitive abilities.
I don’t know what God’s plan is in this season but I’m thankful that each day I’m awaken in His goodness. I’ve joined as often as possible with y’all and am lifting your cares and needs to the Lord.
Please pray for us as we navigate these difficult days and for the solution to improving my functionality so I can once again care for my sweet husband!
Love to each of you! Happy Sunday l

    1. Cee Gee says:

Oh, Kelly, bless that baby’s heart! May God give him the desire for nourishment and heal him. Thank you for these messages of hope in the midst of this struggle. The passage in Habakkuk is one of my favorites.
I join you in rejoicing in my God even though our spirits are weary from waiting. Together we pray, trust, and wait. We are here to hold you and young mama up!

I’m listening to “Center” as I write, and I do want him to be the center of my life. “Everything.. for the honor of your name…My whole life…! Oh Lord, how I love you! Let my days tell the story of you.

Oh how I love you, oh how I love you…
    Jesus I love you…

My heart belongs to you, your the one I hold on to, for the beauty of your name..

    Soak in his goodness today.

  8. Kelly (NEO) says:

Compared the the vast universe, the size of the sun and the moon,we humans are so small. Yet of all this grand creation, the creature who was made in God’s image is the one that rebels against Him. Still He loves us greatly and wants us with Him for eternity. Flabbergasting, no?

    Habakkuk 3:2, 17-19
“I have heard all about you, Lord.
I am filled with awe by your amazing works.
In this time of our deep need,
help us again as you did in years gone by.
    And in your anger,
    remember your mercy.
    .
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
    and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
    and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,

yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
able to tread upon the heights.”
