Isaiah 43:1

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

During this reading plan, we have been memorizing our key verse, Isaiah 43:1. This week, we’ll commit the entire verse to memory.

Now this is what the Lord says—
the one who created you, Jacob,
and the one who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are mine.”
—Isaiah 43:1

    Howdy y’all from Texas! It’s abnormally cold down here so I must have brought the cold from the east coast lol. It’s so nice to slow down and spend time with my grandparents. Family is so important but family dynamics can be tough as well, which I know many of you understand. I read Friday’s reading and Isaiah 54:10 and 55:12 stood out to me. Such a great reminder in my busy season of my new job to continue to seek God in any way I can. He is eager to restore us! Praying you all have a wonderful Sunday and sending love. “See” you all tomorrow <3

    Before starting my quiet time, I read a text. Something I never do before quiet time. But felt compelled to read it, glad I did as it was from a SWEET friend asking for prayer. She could not give details, but asked for prayer. Then I read our memory verse and screen shot it to send to her. What stood out this morning is, “do not fear” Needed to read/hear this promise, AGAIN! God is good! I’m taking those SAME word for myself this morning, as when I woke up (slept in) I was thinking even though my room may not be pretty, I AM SAFE! And that’s enough! Went to see part 2 of The Chosen. It was very long, but to me it was worth it. I’m taking by the acting where I’ve seen lots of tears from the actor Jonathon Roumie who protrays Jesus! Made me wounder during Jesus’ time on earth and the fact that He was fully human and fully God, and if in his humanness He probably did shed many tears. We read the scriptures where He did cry, but seeing it on the screen made it so real for me! There was this very sweet part when he was alone on the mountains when he sees David and the sheep and he’s playing the harp and they smile at each other. Hope I don’t ruin this for those of you who have not seen it. BUT that scene was so meaningful!

    Isaiah 43 has always been my cling to chapter when I have been in seasons of feeling overwhelmed, specifically verses 2-5. This is the prayer in my Bible next to this chapter:

    Lord,
    Thank You for calling me by name and reminding me that I am Yours. In times of fear and uncertainty, help me remember that You are always with me. No matter what I face, You’ve promised to protect and redeem me.

    When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I am precious in Your sight, and I am not alone. Help me trust You with my heart and future, knowing that You are faithful and never leave me.

    I place my trust in You, Lord, my Savior and strength.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen

    If I should forget anything else today and moving forward, let me not forget what the LORD says..
    .
    The One who created you (me), Jacob/Tina,
    .
    And the One who formed you (me), Israel/To-do
    .
    Do not fear, do not be afraid, do not stand in the shadows of life, do not hold back, do not give in to what this world says..
    .
    I have redeemed you;
    I have poured grace over you;
    I have been merciful.
    I have saved you.
    I have reclaimed you.
    I have vindicated you.
    I have recovered you;
    .
    I have called you by your name;
    Not the name the world chooses to call you, named that so easily stick, named like..
    Ugly. Unworthy. Forgotten. Rejected. Disgusting. Unloved.
    .
    I have called you by name, named to affirm you..
    Forgiven.
    Friend.
    Free.
    Chosen.
    My child.
    My masterpiece.
    My temple.
    Greatly loved..
    .
    AND..
    .
    YOU ARE MINE..
    You are MINE..
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
    AMEN..
    .
    Happy Sunday my dears. Happy Sunday, covered in much love, hugs and abundant prayers for all, requested or as you come to mind..❤❤❤

    *fun fact about the book of Isaiah*
    Sixty-six chapters (Bible has 66 books)
    First 39 chapters (39 books in OT) have a theme on a coming king
    Last 27 chapters (27 books in NT) have a theme of a coming servant
    .
    Can’t make too much of this since Isaiah was writen before the full Bible was settled, and there were no chapters or verses until the 13th century but it is kinda cool.
    .
    Regardless, this has been a great study so far! The interaction and insights shared from you all have been great. Thank you.
    .
    Psalm 119:57-64:

    “Lord, you are mine!
    I promise to obey your words!
    With all my heart I want your blessings.
    Be merciful as you promised.
    I pondered the direction of my life,
    and I turned to follow your laws.
    I will hurry, without delay,
    to obey your commands.
    Evil people try to drag me into sin,
    but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.
    I rise at midnight to thank you
    for your just regulations.
    I am a friend to anyone who fears you—
    anyone who obeys your commandments.
    O Lord, your unfailing love fills the earth;
    teach me your decrees.”
    .
    Be blessed and be a blessing today❣️

    Often in scriptures names and renaming were so important, so it stood out to be this morning that it says “I have called you by name.” The intimacy we have with God because He calls us by name.

    Shes as we experience our various worship services, I pray God calls each of you by name and ministers in the way your heart needs today.
