Philippians 1:21

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week, we will test our memorization of our key verse for the book of Philippians.

For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. —Philippians 1:21

I really don’t understand what this scripture means

I’m just catching up on my reading. I wanted to respond. This is a win-win situation for Paul and for us. If we live, we live to worship Christ regardless of our circumstances. If we die, we will be rejoicing in Heaven with Christ. I hope this helps.

Happy Sunday ladies! Praying you all have a wonderful week. I am a bit anxious as I go into a group meeting tomorrow to discuss our pay. We haven’t had a raise in two years. Praying we can all leave with the same understanding, to be kind and also to get somewhere being adequately compensated. Money isn’t everything but it is frustrating not being adequately paid.

Good morning Shes. It’s Monday morning for me in Hong Kong and every Monday, I make a gratitude list to start my work week right. I’m so grateful for SRT, this community, and this study. I have grown so much in my faith, a big part due to my SRT devotional habit. And I have learned so much from all of you.

An update on my health issue that I asked prayers for previously. I have been feeling very well and strong the past few days. I feel my stamina coming back, and I am able to move around and exercise as I normally do, praise God! I still feel bouts of anxiety and hypervigilance, and I pray for God to soothe my mind.

    Have a great week, everyone!

I, too, grew so much by being in the word daily and using SRT!

Jesus is all we need. YEP, that’s all. When I fail to remember this, I “reset,” “take-deep-breath” and “remember” JESUS is all I need and everything else will fall into place and in HIS time, not mine. Our Daddy knows best! Happy Sunday sweet She’s! Enjoy your places of worship! Could use an extra boost of prayer as I need and extra boost of energy after church to complete some house chores and then go back to my church late this afternoon to work in childcare for a couple of hours. I’m grateful its a paid position and love these even littler ones.

    To live is Christ
    .
As long as I’m on this earth, sharing Christ’s life and mission should be my top priority.
