Galatians 2:21

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

For the first three weeks of this reading plan, we’ll memorize our key verse for the book of Galatians. We’ll start with the first part.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
—Galatians 2:21

The app called Verses it’s so helpful when I’m trying to memorize scripture and be great for church and personal and youth group use! This isn’t my app, but I stumbled upon it a couple years ago and it has really really helped me get more focused about memorizing scripture

Oh..I love that last part…IF righteous comes through the law…THEN Christ died for NOTHING!! wowzer!! The law was given to show us the need for a Saviour because we could never keep the laws! So why do so many religions and denominations still make it about the rules. When Jesus came it was to FULFILL the law. Do the matter? Yes, the whole old testimony matters. Grace alone is wonderful, but we have to know and understand the before…to appreciate the after. We have to experience sadness to appreciate happiness. We have to have dry to love the rain that brings forth growth.

I am so happy that Jesus LIVES in me to keep bringing me His Grace, and helps me to continue to learn and grow and experience HIM in me, the HOLY SPIRIT. We talked of this in church today. That I have to wait on the Spirit to move me, and get out of my hurry to move things myself. We have to change the Me, how I want to do things, what is my go to? I now, live for Christ…may it look like it, sound like it, and appear like it. HE is way better than ME. But how do I do this? By his grace and by changing my Palate, my go to. Being in the word, and growing my knowledge of him and relationship with him, then moving at the pace of the Spirit, in an unhurried pace, that is it. So easy… so hard!! I WILL NOT set aside the grace of God!! NO WAY Rhonda…don’t ever set it aside! He gave it all for us, for me. I am His lost sheep, He left the 99 for me. Humbling.

    TOMORROW WE FAST for GAYLE!!

I do not set aside the grace of God. So thankful for God’s grace and his mercy ❤️. A while ago I asked for prayers for my friend Marsha who had pancreatic cancer. She went home to be with Jesus this past week. Would you please say a prayer for her sons Adam and Daniel? They also lost their father (Marsha’s husband) in April. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in November. They have lost both parents in a short amount of time. Thank you. Have a blessed Sunday everyone ❤️

    1. Tina says:

Ahh, for sure I will be praying for these young men whose lives have changed forever so quickly. God bless them and keep them close in their sorrow, their comings and goings.. Lord in your mercy grant them peace of heart as they grieve their parents..
Lord, in your comforting mercy, hear our prayers..
Hope you are well Catherine.. sending love and hugs .❤️

    2. Searching says:

CATHERINE – praying for these sons of Marsha, in their grief and perhaps disbelief as well, to have lost both parents in a 4 month span of time. Praying they will draw comfort and strength from the Lord in these heartbreaking times.

    3. Rhonda J. says:

Prayers for these two, how hard that must be. And for you, it’s so hard to know how so many people can fight the fierce battle with cancer and some live, and some do not…it’s best to remember the GOD knows and is control…BUT, for US BELIEVERS, we know that our eternal home is waiting, and HOW spectacular it will be to flow to His loving arms. I hope the more I talk about my excitement to go, makes it easier on my loved ones (as with my mom’s passing!)

It doesn’t mean we don’t fight to LIVE, but thankfully we LIVE to fight the good fight.

    4. Cee Gee says:

Oh, Catherine, I am so sorry for you and Marsha’s family- especially her precious boys! I pray there are godly men in their lives, men who can shelter and encourage them emotionally and spiritually. That level of grief will surely require wisdom and guidance Thank you for letting us know! Prayers for your heart in this loss as well. Sending hugs! ❤

I had a light bulb moment about a year ago, that by believing I could do things to please God and earn his love that meant the inverse was also true that I could do things to disappoint God and lose his love. They are directly related, and saying God’s grace is not enough, Christ crucified is not enough. I have been relearning that over and over ever since. That just how I did nothing to earn Christ salvation I cannot do anything to keep it. On a side note thank you for whoever recommended Relatable yesterday. I watched the recommended episode and it put so much language to what I was feeling and observing and just brought a lot of clarity. Then I watched the episode below on pain free child birth and it was just a serious God send. I have been following and buying into that narrative this entire pregnancy and feeling unsettled about it, but I didn’t know why. It all boils down to control. I cannot control this pregnancy, I cannot control the birthing process, and I cannot control God’s love. God is good no matter the outcome. Amen.

  13. Tina says:

Bear with me! I had this urge to read this in the Message..
I am glad I did, though it may be a tad long.. it says..
    .
What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.
I had to look up repudiate (lol).
    Reject. Decline, Refuse. Spurn.

In light of my new found word and truth read.. I absolutely and without a doubt, do not and WILL NOT set aside the FREE AND UNMERITED FAVOUR OF GOD.
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
    My Lord and Saviour..
    .
    AMEN.

    HAPPY SUNDAY, my dears..♥️
