Judges 2:11–12

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

For this study we have worked to memorize Judges 2:11–12a. Spend some time reviewing the whole passage. As you do, remember the weight of Israel’s sin and rebellion, reflecting on how our sin carries the same destructive power in our lives.

11 The Israelites did what was evil in the LORD’s sight. They worshiped the Baals 12 and abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt.

—Judges 2:11–12a

Grammie Sue, may God cover you with His Peace, His Presence. May the Lord God give wisdom to Steve’s doctors. Bring comfort and healing to his body, in Jesus Name Amen

  2. GramsieSue says:

Ladies, I know it’s late and not many will see this today but I have to ask for prayers for my Steve. He’s been in the hospital for over a week and it looks to be over a week longer. His brain cancer is NOT back, but his sodium levels fell to a dangerous level and now they are also trying to treat his neuropathy thinking he may have either Guillone Barré syndrome or post radiation effect. He is getting steroids and they are prepping him for a plasma exchange. Today, he has been nauseas, lethargic…really sick. The nurse just rushed him out for a CT scan of his brain. I don’t know what that is about. I’m just so anxious and exhausted.
    Hugs to all ❤️

I love how God works! Today’s church message was from Judges 6:11-16. We are going to be hearing from Judges for the next 3 weeks and starting a revival in our community. Please lift us in your prayers!

LYNNE FROM ALABAMA – Thank you for the prayers and thank you for saying so succinctly what I attempted to say yesterday! Keeping you and Jack in prayer! Love you, sister! ❤

RHONDA JOHNSON – Praying for the families affected by that tragedy!

  5. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

Happy Sunday my dear sisters! Praying you all have a blessed day of worship and that you are uplifted and encouraged.

Echoing all the prayers listed by @Tina. @Rhonda Johnson – what a terrible tragedy. Praying for this young mans family and for the families of the 4 ladies who also died. It’s hard to imagine, leaving church not knowing that this would be his last day. Praying for your church family as you all come to terms with the loss.

Looking forward to our new study tomorrow!

  6. Lynne from Alabama says:

    Good morning sweet SRT sisters!

As we end our study in Judges I can’t say that I am sorry that it is over but I can say that it was a great study. There is so much here to learn. We have to remember our sin and move past it to turn everything over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is a distinct difference in remembering and dwelling on it. Satan would have us to dwell on it, feel guilty about it, and sometimes relive it. Jesus would have us turn it over to Him. I pray that each of us can do that.

I am ready to move to studying thankfulness. Even though my life as caregiver for Jack is lonely, exhausting, and mundane, I recently started trying to focus on how much better 2023 has been than 2022.

TERESA DONLEY—I’m so thankful that your spinal tap went so well. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for the diagnosis and it will be an encouraging diagnosis. Prayers for you, sweet sister! ❤️

VICTORIA E—I’m sorry you are going through difficult times right now. Prayers for you, sweet sister! ❤️

MOLLY R and CEE GEE—Prayers for
    strength and complete healing! ❤️

A WALTON—I’m sorry the house you wanted fell through. God has the perfect house prepared for you already. Prayers for you and your family as you wait for it! ❤️

I’m praying for each of you sisters and the needs you have brought to us. I love each of you and pray God’s peace for you! Have a blessed day! ❤️

Praying for all of you! Judges was a hard read but it also shows God’s faithfulness to a people who turned their back on Him. It has taught me that we need to keeping reaching out and praying for the lost. I am so thankful for God’s mercy and forgiveness to me through Jesus. I am humbled by His grace!

MOLLY R, RHONDA J, TINA, KELLY NEO, ((sister she’s praying for me) – THANK YOU! Love all you SHES!

MOLLY R – I hope and pray you don’t have what I had. It started as a mild case of what was probably a flu, but morphed into a very bad sinus infection. I finally got a antibiotic Friday evening, but still not up and at ’em yet. Said all that to say if that sounds familiar, see the doc sooner than later. I waited too long! Praying your kiddos don’t come down with it! Hugs, sister! ❤

CASEY MANCUSO – ditto to what TRUTH SEEKER said on yesterday’s comment! ❤ You are in a very loving, wise, praying community.

TERESA DONKEY – So thankful you were able to post yesterday and that you made it through the procedure safely. Praying your recovery is uneventful! Love you! ❤

Looking forward to seeing y’all in the morning! Praying for your requests. So sorry, A WALTON!
