Romans 8:14-17

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

For this study we have worked to memorize Romans 8:14–17. Spend some time reviewing the whole passage. As you do, celebrate the access believers have to God the Father through Christ, and the reality that He has adopted us as His children.

14 For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
—Romans 8:14–17

We get to call Him “Daddy”. I have enjoyed the study so much! I’m going to have to say it’s been one of my favorites! To study the Genealogy of Jesus and that He came from normal and simple and broken people just like us YET, without sin. “Happy Sunday”, from the San Luis Obispo/Pismo area. We leave today. I’ve been so grateful and blessed to have quiet time at this cute cottage tucked in the woods in Arroyo Grande. Please pray for safe travels home. 3 1/2 hour trip.

Thank You, Father, for this gift of access to You. Thank You that we not only have this access, but we have You as our Abba, our Daddy, who is always there for us, always near, always ready with open arms. We can run to You in every circumstance. May we do that instead of running away or choosing to hide in our sin. Thank You, Abba. May we never stop thanking You.
