1 Peter 1:3-4

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week we work on memorizing 1 Peter 1:3, the first verse of our key passage. This verse reminds us of the new life believers are given through Christ’s resurrection.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
—1 Peter 1:3–4

FYI, the wrong verse is linked. What shows up is from Gen 1 instead of 1 Peter 1.

  2. Mercy says:

For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do (Isaiah 55:10-11). Praise the Lord for making all things new, including us. Have a blessed Sunday dear she’s.

    Happy Sunday She’s!
It’s a glorious day being in church to praise our Lord and Saviour! We discussed the Holy Spirit, and the verse of where Jesus says “It is good for you that I go…..” It always floors me that we were given and have the Spirit in us to guide us in this turbulent world!! May I (and you) lean into this amazing and miraculous gift!! As Christians, let it be abundant and show, love to all people, because we were all there before receiving Jesus ourselves! We don’t want to condemn, we want to point the way to the one and only truth!

He Lives! I love that old Hymn, Cee Gee! I LOVE all old hymns!

Wow & A Wonder-Filled Sunday Morning, Sister Shes.
    Big shout out Cee Gee!
You mentioned the old hymn, “I Know He Lives”!
And took me back to the little church I grew up in.
Good gospel music. In everlasting sprit.
    Sing. Dance. Hum. Rock. Clap.
    Count it all joy!
    Amen & Amen!

This is pretty neat to me that this is the memory verse this week. Last month I purchased the 1&2 Peter study guide from 2019, my first SRT purchase. I enjoyed it enough that I decided to subscribe. This current study is fitting in so perfectly with my study in 1 Peter, God is a master at connecting the dots in our minds! I am so grateful for our Living Hope.

In agreement with the other SRT sisters, the verse does in fact read as Genesis 1:3-4. Thank you for your hard work in putting this together.

  14. Cee Gee says:

“I serve a risen Savior; He’s in the world today. I know that He is living whatever men may say … You ask me how I know He lives. He lives within my heart.” – partial lyrics from He Lives (old hymn).

    Have a blessed Sunday, Shes!

Living Hope, not dead and useless wishful thinking. Because Jesus rose from the dead, I have hope that I will too!

Worship with abandon today, Shes, for our Savior is alive and well.
