Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
This week we work on memorizing 1 Peter 1:3, the first verse of our key passage. This verse reminds us of the new life believers are given through Christ’s resurrection.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.

For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do (Isaiah 55:10-11).
