Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Prayers in Scripture reading plan

Matthew 7:7-11

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

During our time in this study, we have worked to memorize Matthew 7:7–11. Spend some time reviewing the full passage as a reminder of the confidence you can have in knowing that God hears you when you pray.

“Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.”
—Matthew 7:7–11

I’m so glad I got to read this plan with you all as we learned more about God and how to develop our relationship with Him through prayer.

What a blessed day with two doses of SRT and the beginning of Advent!! For those of you who don’t have the study book the benediction for the end of our study is: “Even before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.”

I’m so glad God hears me when I pray. Even though I am playing “catch up” now I have and am enjoying this study. It has helped me immensely in this difficult time of my life.
