Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.
The key passage for this reading plan is Psalm 40:1–3. Throughout the remainder of this reading plan, we will memorize verse 3, David’s song of thanksgiving for God’s deliverance. We will start with the first two lines. Since the psalms were meant to be sung, try adding a tune of your own as you commit this verse to memory.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and they will trust in the LORD.
—Psalm 40:3

I instantly thought of the song Psalm 40 by Newsong (for anyone wanting a tune to go with it). Hope that helps. Be blessed today :)

Churchmouse so happy to see you.❤️ I will pray for your health.
I want to share a testimony. A while back when SRT asked us, what would you like us to pray for you. I asked for my mom’s relationship with me to be prayed for. It was on my mind a lot. And it has been a continual process of me walking through the hurt and misunderstandings. And one time in the comments, someone mentioned that Blessed are the peacemakers, and peacemakers go out of the peace zone to make peace. And that spoke straight to me. I started seeing though I was hurt by the war caused by her, I need to come and make peace still. I have a part to play. I gathered my courage to venture out, with lots of prayers asking God to help and cover me, to approach my mom again who shut herself out. And God told me this, the truth I spoke to her cut her deep too. So allow her space for healing from the sharp truth that cuts people. Which is another perspective I never considered for her. Though it was not my intention to hurt, the Word of God can hurt when it corrects or convicts people. Praise God for His wise counsel. Then I started to have small talks to warm up with her, slowly. If I never messaged her (she lives overseas), she woule never message me. I sent baby pictures of my little daughter to engage her to speak and spark joy in our conversations, to show her I had good intentions to connect, and then she started to share the details of her life and our relatives. And after months and months I saw the change of heart in her tremendously. So today I want to give God praise and a big thank you for the wisdom and faithfulness that all of you dear she’s have faithfully fed me through your insights and comments. God is slowly healing my relationship and the deep wounds from decades back with my mom. And He lifted the pain and the fear rooted deep in me since childhood. I can approach her now with a bit of joy and peace. Praise God. May God bless you all and may He heal any difficult relationships in your life to bring you joy, peace, restoration and wholeness on all levels. Be blessed dear sisters.
So happy that you are back! Praying for continued healing for you and your family!

Welcome back Churchmouse! You’ve been missed. Thanking God for His faithfulness!
Blessings dear Sisters!
Many health issues impacting my family and myself have caused me to drop off She Reads Truth. I have been faithful in Bible reading, study and prayer from other sites so that I might share that experience with new believers who chose an introduction to Bible study and asked me to help. Most of the family health issues are resolving (covid, long covid, pneumonia etc) for which I am so grateful to God. He has been ever present through it all. He’s so good! I spent today catching up with all the Scriptures and devotions for the past week so I am now where you all have been. Excited to be back. Glad you all left the Light on for me!
Church mouse, so happy to see you’re back!
I am trusting in this song. It is difficult to put words to what I am currently going through.
Amen
Good morning sisters! It’s a gorgeous cool morning in northern California, the cool before the heat comes later. But I’m kind of weird. I love the heat of Summer. as I sit here I think of all of you i’m so thankful and blessed to be part of this beautiful community.
@JenniferlovesJesus – beautiful. Thank you. ❤️
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God” (Psalm 40:3a). A beautiful song doesn’t come easy. But when I tune my difficulties to Jesus, there comes the sweetest sound. He carries the weight of the melody as the notes of trust and hope flow. Like the 3 strings of my dulcimer must be tightened and tuned to DAD, I smile and let my soul be tuned by the hands of my Father GOD. I never made that connection until just now. How sweet He is. When my heart tunes to the refrains of the Holy Spirit, His song of new mercy is in my mouth, and I will sing with my life as a testimony to God. I pray that my song sounds good to the ears that hear. I pray that the heart strings around me will tune to Jesus and sing with me. Selah. Maranatha. Amen

Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;
let those who love your salvation continually say,
“The Lord is great!”
Psalm 40:16

Choosing praise!
Thank you Tina for the lyrics to a new song❤️
Thank you Tina for the words of a new song.
Psalm 47
1 Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
2 For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared,a great king over all the earth.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
sing praises with a psalm!
8 God reigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
9 The princes of the peoples gatheras the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!
Such a good reminder at 4am when my 4year old had an accident and my 7year old tried to hide it from me. So frustrated right now but turning to God instead of YouTube and finding that putting something new in my mouth (a song of praise vs angry words) really does change perspective. Hoping for more sleep and a new morning with the dawn.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God…
I may not have the words or the tune/beat yet..
BUT GOD..
If God is putting a new song in my heart, my mouth, I will not stand in His way. Instead I WILL lift my arms in praise and make way for Him who has only ever had my good in place..the one who has a plan and a purpose for me..
AMEN..
Happy Sunday dear hearts wrapped in love and prayers for an overflow of His blessings for you and yours..❤
