Open Your Bible

Ephesians 4:1-6

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week we will add our final verses, 5 and 6, to our memorization of Paul’s encouragement about the unity that characterizes the body of Christ.

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope at your calling—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.
—Ephesians 4:1–6

I love the reminder of being one body with our fellow believers this week, but also that we have ONE BIG God, to help us, and keep us. Over us, through us, with us. Such a timely reminder.

Father, God help me to walk worthy of You, Christ and the Holy Spirit. Remind me, I’m not perfect and I need to allow others their faults with humility and gentleness and loving-kindness. Help me to remain peaceful with everyone I meet and know. In the name of the Triune, amen.
Friday night on my way home from work I noticed two doors down from Finley’s home and ambulance and fire truck. While I was loading myself and things in, the paramedics loaded someone on a stretcher in the ambulance. Right as I was leaving, I noticed they turned off their lights and one of the paramedics got back out and headed back to the house. Please pray for this family — I don’t know them but I know something terrible has happened in their life. Also, while driving home I noticed two major accidents — I only live about two or three miles from Finley’s house — the police officers were very busy on Friday.
Sisters be blessed and have a glorious day worshipping the Lord, Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Happy Sunday! May you rest in God’s goodness today and worship Him with your whole heart.
Praying Paul’s words to the Christians in Rome:
“Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation about Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent for long ages but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles—to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ—to him be the glory forever! Amen” Rom. 16:25-27.

I think today’s memorisation is just verse 4 – I think last time it was verses 2&3?

    Happy Sunday, SRT sisters
