Acts 2:37-41

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve memorized Acts 2:37–40. This week, we’ll add our final verse, verse 41, where we see the results of Peter’s message. As you go about your daily routine, practice saying this verse out loud with the verses you have already memorized until you can recite Acts 2:37–41. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t remember it all yet! Keep coming back throughout the week as you work on committing this passage to memory.

37 When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!” 41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

Thank you, SRT sisters for praying for my kids and the meeting yesterday. One of my daughters told me it was above and beyond what she could ask or imagine. Healing still needs to take place but this was a huge step in the right direction. An answer to our prayers.

MICHELLE PATIRE – praying for your running today and the upcoming podcast, that the Lord will give you the words you need to glorify Him and give hope to others seeking Him.

RHONDA J – praying for healing for Andrea

JENNIFER ANAPOL – praying for you, Jesus sees you as beautiful! I’ve gone through phases of similar thoughts about myself throughout my life and decided at some point that I’ll do the best I can with how the Lord made me and stop being concerned about it beyond that. I try to be beautiful on the inside and that’s what really matters.

KATHY – praise the Lord for the good report on John! Continuing to pray.

CHRIS S – praying for healing for your pastor. We too are thankful for online options for services. We have not been back to church yet as we are in close contact with our family members that have health risk factors and one that is undergoing treatment for cancer. We miss it.

Good morning. Beautiful day to worship or Lord. Our Pastor has covid so our church has been closed now for 2 weeks. Please pray he is well soon. It is a blessing that we can watch so many good services on our devices, but it just isn’t the same as joining as a “family” to worship and fellowship.

Love it! It is amazing how God will show us so many times the message he has for us. These verses have shown up for me in at least three places in the last couple weeks. I pray I have ears to hear what God has for me in these. Thank you, Lord!

Thank you all so much for your prayers for baby John and his family. He is on the mend and they are hoping that he will get to go home in the next 48 hours. Please continue to pray that the doctors can figure out why he reacted to the RSV the way he did. His reaction was nothing like what usually happens.
God is good and He is good to us and He is good at being God.
    Be blessed today, sweet sisters.
