Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Acts reading plan

Acts 2:37-41

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week, we will continue memorizing a portion of Peter’s sermon from Acts 2, adding verse 39. Start by reciting what you’ve already memorized. Then add the next sentence, reading it out loud several times.

37 When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!” 41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

Good morning dear sisters. It’s pretty windy and cloudy here this morning with rain coming soon. But it’s not that cold. As one whose favorite seasons are Spring and Summer, I’m enjoying sitting on my front porch with coffee and praying for all of you. I’m so blessed I’m part of this community. We need each other. And I need you. blessings to you all on this beautiful Sunday. Please pray for my health. I think I might be having gallstones. I’m taking care of it naturally.
