Joshua 1:9

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

Throughout this reading plan, we’ve memorized Joshua 1:9. Take time this week to say the entire verse at once, and ask a friend or family member to test your memorization by having you say it to them. Call this verse to mind when you need to remember and proclaim God’s promised faithfulness.

“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?
Do not be afraid or discouraged,
for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
—Joshua 1:9

Love this verse! I am sharing this with my teen son. He is severely depressed – thank you Covid :(. This verse brings me a lot of comfort. He’s in therapy don’t worry. This pandemic is hard. My daughter has a compromised immune system so we are isolated more than most. It’s been hard on all of us. He is working but his school (first year of college) is online. It’s been hard for him. I have hope this is ending soon.

It is so easy to be afraid and discouraged, especially now dealing with family and work upended by COVID unable to be with friends. But I am do grateful that the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go and will help me so I can be strong and courageous. Happy Sunday SRT.

Even though I walk THROUGH the valley of the death, I shall fear no evil. For You are with me.

I will not be afraid because He will go with me. This morning before I rolled out of bed I had this very thought. “He is with me”. He is with me now and I’m SO grateful He was with me in that courtroom with this wonderful lady (advocate) from women’s haven telling me to “take-a-deep-breath” (I must’ve been holding my breath without realizing). I was so afraid. Not of the judge, but of the man I once called my husband. Yes, My God promised He would go with me wherever I go. He was with me that day. He is with me now and He’s not going ANYWHERE ❤️!
    That’s a promise!

This verse has many times been my strengthening reminder to repeat and hear in my heart when much seemed dependent on me. It is a great reminder to walk forward in faith with the Faithful One. Praying for you and Ryan, Heidi! May you see His miracles in your life together and may your marriage become a testimony of Jesus. I have taken this verse and made it to be past and present as a reminder of how He is beside me. “It was the Lord your God who fought for you.” Joshua 22:3b It is the Lord your God who is fighting for you. Not for what we want necessarily, but for us, He is fighting for us! Oh how I love this. Much joy to your Sunday Sisters. The snow has been hitting and from my estimation we may have about a foot, but I am peering out from my window. Stay warm!
