Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
For our final week, we will finish memorizing the last verse in this passage from Daniel. Here, the prophet expresses humility before God and seeks His compassion.
Write the passage out by hand, say it aloud, or test your knowledge with a friend.
Therefore, our God, hear the prayer and the petitions of your servant. Make your face shine on your desolate sanctuary for the Lord’s sake. Listen closely, my God, and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations and the city that bears your name. For we are not presenting our petitions before you based on our righteous acts, but based on your abundant compassion.
—Daniel 9:17–18

Replying to Jillian Best, Ahhh! Thank you! You really encouraged me in the last session to stick with this! I’m so glad you reached out! Thank you!
Comment is for LV, it wouldn’t let me post in reply to yours: Praising God for your perseverance!!! You commented on my ADHD comment last session. I am very proud of you, too!!!

This has been my favorite study all year! I loved the workbook and I learned so much. Thank you SRT team!
I have a few days I need to catch up on still but I’m kinda proud I finally stuck with a devotion! I’ve been doing an older Christmas advent one as well because I never finish those and I’m so excited for the Christmas season… and maybe by Christmas I’ll have it done. ADHD brain… but I’m on the right track I think to making this a habit I can stick with!
What a beautiful time spent in the book of Daniel. Thank you SRT for bringing this to us for such a time as this. Blessings SRT sisters ❤️
I have enjoyed working through this study, even though I kind of did it in double time. This week has been a rollercoaster of a week. First I hit my head hard enough that I still feel it 6 days after the fact. Next was a preliminary diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy with an unknown source. We will have to do more testing on that to see if we can pin it down. I’ve wrapped up my week with a workday that I wouldn’t wish on anyone (retail can be very unfulfilling sometimes). In the midst of it all, God has been beside me. He’s there through all the headaches (literal and figurative), and emotional ups and downs. I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s posts and look forward to our next study together, taking time to really digest the Word as we go through.
This was a great study. Daniel was what I needed right now. I have been going through some hard times and I’m ready to put them behind me. I can’t wait to start the next one Proverbs. It will be upbeat. It will be different than Ecclesiastes. Solomon wrote it at the beginning of his reign, before he married all of his different wives.
Lord, help me to continue to be compassionate to those around me. Help me to show compassion to those who test me and who are my enemies. Remind me Your compassion extends to all peoples. Lord, watch over all who need Your help and guidance. Be with those who are on hard times. I praise Your name and call You my Almighty Father. Amen.
So thankful for Gods word, this study and all you ladies!! Looking forward to the next one ❤️ Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!
I am so thankful for SRT and this study. In such tumultuous times the study of Daniel brings ease to my mind. My son’s health, the pandemic, & the election. I can trust that God will get us through. Have a great day ladies ❤️
Amen!
Our Lord is loving and compassionate in the mist of our turmoil no matter what it is. He is there in the midst of it all. Another great study and most of all I loved doing life with all of you here. Sisters please pray for my sister-in-law’s Family. This is my youngest brother’s wife. Earlier this week her oldest nephew suddenly died.. He went to sleep and never woke up. Please pray for his mother and his wife and young family he leaves behind. My heart aches for them.
So grateful for this study and the opportunity to learn more about Daniel. He is an admirable example of a godly person. Not only did we learn so much from his testimony but we saw example after example of God’s following through with his promises. He does the same for us even when we can’t see or feel it. So grateful for this study and how relevant it is for our country right now! Thank you SRT!
Amen, Churchmouse! I enjoy and look forward to reading your insights each day. As well as all the SRT ladies post! Prayers and Blessings to all.
Excited to find this resource!
Amen
Thank you SRT. But more importantly, thank you LORD!
Really enjoyed walking through a prophecy book like this.
As my church prepares to gather for our 10 year anniversary celebration (outside, socially distant, with masks), I am thankful for the reminder that it is not our righteousness but His grace and compassion. Lord, be compassionate with us today. Love you and love my fellow Shes ❤️
This verse is so appropriate for the condition of our country…How we need God’s compassion on us during this election time with so many diverse issues in front of us daily. May we stay focused on the compassion of our Lord towards us and all who are thirsty without the living water. Blessings to you ladies today.
Thank you Lord for your compassion towards us.
And so we wrap up our study of Daniel. So grateful for SRT. And grateful that this verse today reminds me once again that in the midst of the turmoil of this world, God remains abundantly compassionate. I can take every worry and fear to Him. I can ask for His divine intervention in the mess we’ve made of our society. He is faithful to answer. He is more than able to act justly. And always for my good. What a great God! Dear SRT friends, near and far, have a Sunday full of the wonder of Him.
❤️
Amen. Blessings to you all this Sunday.
