Day 7

Weekly Truth

from the Daniel reading plan

Daniel 9:17

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

Over the course of this study, we will memorize Daniel 9:17–18. Let’s begin by memorizing verse 17, the first verse in this prayer of corporate confession.

Write the passage out by hand, say it aloud, or test your knowledge with a friend.

Therefore, our God, hear the prayer and the petitions of your servant. Make your face shine on your desolate sanctuary for the Lord’s sake.

@sarah you can put your thoughts on your scripture or lesson devotional notes or a daily journal of how you applied the passage to your daily life or feelings.

  2. Kimberly Holman says:

I just put the reading from the main book, not the additional ones.

I just leave it blank but a cool idea that I just thought of is to put where you were reading it! Ex. Reading: under our oak tree

Blessings to you Church Mouse, look for your comments everyday and am inspired by your wisdom and love for the Lord.

  6. Churchmouse says:

The prayer list is long. Perhaps its because, with this isolation, there is more time to ponder the world in general and my own specifically. And so the list grows. I’m thankful that with this isolation I also have more time to pray. As I am retired and immunosuppressed, I am fairly homebound. This prolonged praying has become the most intense, personal and powerful ministry I’ve ever done. I call out as Daniel does, for God to hear my prayers and petitions. He alone can shine light on all the desolate darkness. He alone provides hope.

    1. Cheryl Fure says:

Yes Yes and Amen …that Only God alone can bring light into darkness and hope into brokenness and despair….God is so good and worthy of ALL praise. Thank you Churchmouse for your words of encouragement and prayer. What a blessing you are to countless many.

    2. Mari V says:

I am so thankful for women like you Churchmouse. I know that you pray for me. Even though you don’t know me you do it out of your love for Christ and for “all of us” here at SRT. I long for the day when we will meet you. In the meantime thank you for faithfully praying for all of us here at SRT.
