Weekly Truth

Open Your Bible

Revelation 16:7

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize a reminder of God’s power and justice.

Yes, Lord God, the Almighty,
true and just are your judgments.
—Revelation 16:7

It is just a incredible verse to keep with us because it remids us that Gods judgement comes from a pure heart not hatred. When I find myself doing something wrong sometimes I think “oh no God is going to judge me”.I fear his judgement like I would fear judgement from another person. But this verse reminds me that he is loving and pure even through judgement.

I’m glad that I serve the one true God. I am blessed that I’m here with all of you. I am blessed that my son and daughter serve the Lord at their young age. I am one proud mom. In the mist of all our troubles there’s always joy. My son graduated from high school Thursday night.Through struggles and some not good choices, good times and bad times my son made it across the stage and received his high school diploma. I love my boy. Today we celebrate that achievement along with my family and his close friends from church. I’m grateful for Church family.

Even in the midst of judgement, God is true and just.

  10. Shawn Parks says:

Love casts out all fear. We are commanded to love God with our whole heart. This commandment is not just for God’s benefit but for our own. He knows that when we wholly love Him we will live in hope and peace. It is then that we can trust the words that God’s judgements are true and just. I must seek my heart when I doubt and see where the fear is creeping in. When I examine myself, I find that I am not loving Him with my whole heart. I continue to struggle with living IN this world while living FOR my eternal home. Through my faith and God’s unfailing grace, I call on he Holy Spirit to draw my heart closer and closer to my Lord. When wholly loving God I also have access to His great love which spills over into a great love for others and spurs me to encourage and warn them that God’s judgements are true and just! May my love for you grow Lord and may your spirit strengthen me to love others as you loved us and testified in the flesh that God’s judgements are true and just. Overwhelm my spirit with your great love so their is no room for fear or doubt for You are the Almighty God! Amen.

In a world that promotes “my truth” and “your truth” let me remember there is only one Truth and that is You, Jesus. All that You do is true and just because that is Who You are. You alone.
