Since 2012, She Reads Truth has maintained a singular mission: to be women in the Word of God every day. Ten years later, our community includes “Shes” from across the globe, but our mission hasn’t changed.
Reading Scripture together is the centerpiece of what we do at She Reads Truth. As we spend time as a community reading This Is The Church, we encourage you to start by reading the daily Scripture on your own. Then join us here to engage and encourage one another as we respond to what we’ve read. Each day for this series, we’ll include a brief summary of the reading along with a prompt for conversation.
Followers of Jesus Christ are called to pursue oneness as we remain connected to our Triune God, the source, sustainer, and perfect example of unity.

Praying for all those who are persecuted because of their faith, we thank you for your bravery and obedience
Lord, may we lay down the thoughts and items we believe will protect us and shield us or even strengthen us for trials that are other than God’s Word and the Body of Christ. May we find unity, may churches in cities see ways to partner rather than svide and compete. May peace reign in our hearts so that Christ’s liberation from m sin and death may be undeniable in our lives.
I am praying for love to conquer over all separation
Praying for those with doubt, for those facing persecution, and those who are in the cycle of mundane life to pursue excitement and joy in our lord.
i am praying for there to be NO division among God’s people. too often we find ourselves split because of denominational differences and the little quirks that come with it to where we overlook the entire mission of Jesus. wanted to be too legal and try to make scripture work for THEM.

I pray for unity of the worldwide Body of Christ, for an awareness and love for one another. Though distance and cultures may separate us, we are unified in Jesus. This is the radical and supernatural unity that a dying world needs to see. May our love and concern for our brothers and sister only grow and increase. Amen.
I am praying for unity within the global church
Praying for an awareness of the global church. An awareness that we truly are surrounded by thousands of saints, a diverse array. Praying for the areas where the church is new (Japan especially). Praying that the church in America will truly be known for its love and unity, not its politics. I pray that my love will increase, even for those I disagree with.
Lord you are good
Today I pray that the church comes together as one to lift up the holy name of Jesus that we will stand together as one. And that we will be like the three breaded cord that is not easily broken in Jesus Name. I pray that as we come together as the body of Christ that we will have a Pentecost experience same as when the disciples went into the temple and was filled with the Holy Spirit. That we will not only receive a the Holy Spirit but the same as they did that we will experience the fire of the Holy Spirit and that fire will never burnout in Jesus Holy Mighty Name.
My prayer is that people will recognize us as followers of Jesus by how we all love – unity in our love for God and our neighbors.
Today I am praying for great redemption to happen in America.
Today I’m praying for my friend Nata and her church in Ukraine. My world, and the American world have really moved on from being aware of their war, but they are still in the middle.
I’m praying for unity not just amongst America but all country’s. Praying over missionaries who are sharing the Love & Light of the gospel to unreached brothers & sisters.
God please bring unity to the world. Let people know You, and come together as brothers and sisters in Christ. Lord please forgive me for any judgments I’ve passed on others. Help me to be more like You, and love everyone through You. Amen.

Praying for the division amongst the American church at the moment due to a prioritization or political beliefs. I must repent of doing that, and I just PRAY that the Lord will move within the American church to unite us under the ONE NAME of Christ where we can RESPECT our differences and fight for the SAME things.
Forgive me, Father, for being a part of the divisiveness problem in the church – focusing on secondary or tertiary issues rather than focusing on the One central saving gospel of Jesus Christ. May humility and gentleness abound through me and my fellow believers – I repent of the pride of life that prioritizes any thing else above the gospel and it’s changing power in those around me.
Lord,
Please bring your healing and restoration to those in desperate situations. Give them not only safety, shelter, water, and food, but restore to them Spiritual safety and healing. Bring your light and love to the hearts of your divided kingdom, and help us especially in America at this time to work together and reconcile our differences. Support all mothers and children, and the men faced with difficult decisions.

I will pray specifically for a dear friend who lives in Africa as a missionary with her husband and family. I pray for unification within their relationships with the followers there in their church. I pray for the authenticity of the locals culture and Jesus’s truth to be valued and seen for it
I am praying for my own boldness in sharing the Gospel through my words and simple actions in my daily life — I an praying that kindness, gentleness and patience become more second nature to me. I am also praying for my brothers and sisters around the world to strive for the same things, and be united in Christ during these times of constant conflict.

I pray for my own humility and kindness. Gossip is something that comes natural to me and I want to repent and lift others up instead of causing division.

I agree the church needs to step up and lead by example. The church needs to be a voice of reason and love in a world that is upside down. We have to be courageous and be a vital part to the solutions not part of the problem. We have recently experienced a tough time and people walked away. But God was cleaning house from the top down. I was so disenchanted and hurt that I was going to leave. But again God intervened and told me to stay put because He had put me there for such a time as this. Now we have a new Pastor who works in step with his wife. She is also a wonderful leader. The church is growing again and the Holy Ghost is present and working in many lives.!
Praying specifically for my brother in law and his wife. They are missionaries in Central Asia. There has been a feud amongst the local pastors and his organization over land and money. Praying for oneness and protection.
I think it is hard to act as one when we are acting only in pursuit of our own self interests and ambitions. I pray that we rid ourselves of conceit and humbly look to the interests of others.
I pray for integrity among our leaders. Our churches have become a “see, they’re all fake” laughingstock to the world. And it is deeply concerning to me. We must seek repentance, authentic accountability, and humility. I also believe it takes encouraging female voices in the church, and for men to see women as valuable, active assets to the ministry and body of Christ, not just as objects for pleasure.
I pray that we can see that we are all on the same team, even though methods and traditions are different

I pray for those in other countries that cannot freely exercise their faith. I pray for those that are persecuted in Jesus’s name. Philippians 2: 9-11 “Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
Lord, let our unity and oneness grow into something beautiful that attracts more attention than the ugliness of our divisions. Amen.
I ask the question “why can’t we all just love one another” a lot. I don’t often turn this question into prayer. The scriptures today have shown me that we, the church, are to bring His Kingdom to earth and in that we are here to practice and perfect what we will do when we return to Him at that appointed time. We will all be ONE with one mind and one purpose and that is to bring Him the praise and honor only He deserves.
My prayer is for full unity across the globe. That we are able to point at scripture more than pointing at one another. How upsetting it must be for God to see His children divided.

I pray for the persecuted church, that those who believe in Jesus and claim the promise of salvation would also draw strength from that promise, though it may cost them their lives. I pray that the global church would be united in the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ Jesus, the truths found in Scripture, and our calling to go and make disciples. I have prayed this a lot lately. 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. – John 17:23 I have been praying repentance and salvation for many around me because I know that He is the answer that they need. I want to see their face when they come to the Lord and experience the greatest love and acceptance they have ever known! I want our hearts to be one in Him and enjoy the time we have left worshiping, serving and loving others so that He can come sooner rather than later. He intended so much more than we can even imagine. I have been shown in Ezekiel 37:3 and now in Revelation 7:14 that “He knows.” For me it speaks to my anxiety and impatience. He knows…exactly what we need and when we need it. He knows just how long things can remain until His justice is poured out for those that He loves. He knows our next steps. He knows! Like Nathanael, under the fig tree, He knows everything and He is working it all out. I am glad that He is in charge. I’m glad that I can exchange anxiety for trust! He is faithful. He holds us and the universe. I have also been praying to be able to meet people where they are at. To be immersed and filled with the Homy spirit to let Him invade and take over more of my soul to be able to minister. To be able to speak His words because they do not return void. I have praying for His presence. To remain in His presence at all times and to be fully aware that I am walking side by side with Him to accomplish the mission of reconciliation. To just make His name present and great among others.
I am praying for unity among Christians around the world and across all denominations so that we may experience such perfect unity that the world will know God’s perfect love (John 17:23).
They will know we’re His children by our love. Our unity as the Church is important for the world to see to draw them to Jesus. ❤️
I am praying for the preservation of unity in MARRIAGES around the globe among our brothers and sisters, starting with my own. Only by subjecting ourselves to Jesus can we find this unity. I struggle with resignation of unmet hopes in my own marriage and loneliness, but know this is not a great testimony to what God has for us. Teach me Holy Spirit.
I am praying for unity in my work, my community, my state, my country, and globally. Lord Jesus, we have dug our heels in and drawn lines in the sand. Please allow us to listen objectively to others, pray with and for others, and most importantly, to love others, even when they are different than us. Lies I pray that people all over the world will come to know you and your goodness. May I remember to pray for the lost and the leaders of countries daily that their decisions will bring glory and honor to you.

I am praying for safety for those living where it might not be safe and that all have access to hear the Word of God.

Living internationally, I pray for the Global church often. I pray for disciples to bring the glory of God and the hope of the gospel to all they meet. To reach those who are lost and need comfort. I pray for missionaries who need strength and encouragement. For them to be United for Christ.
I’m praying a lot for my heart to be softened towards others. I am praying for love to spread out among others because there is so much division and hurt in this world right now. I really want to put so much more of my focus on Jesus and be an example of Him to those that I come into contact with. This is where my heart is at right now.
God I pray that you would draw your people near to you and encourage them to drop their “Jesus and. . .” You cover us in grace and mercy because you loved us first. Being a missionary in Africa you learn very quickly that the church is not the service, it’s not cookie cutter. The church is the body of believers. So here we are across the world celebrating with other believers who do things differently than we do, but their love for Christ is evident. We must keep the main thing, the main thing. If you have truly repented of your sin, believed Jesus died on the cross for your sin, and asked Him to come into your heart, then praise the Lord you are saved!!! It’s not about all the rules and legalistic rituals, some of those are nice, but it’s not the main thing. We will be pleasantly surprised one day by who we get to worship with in Heaven. But our work here on earth is not done! Jesus is not willing that any should perish, let’s be apart of the Lords work!

Hello She’s! I’m definitely praying for those who are being persecuted in their faith today. This day was really good but challenging in a world that rarely agrees. Yet I love what Jessica said on the podcast to be more curious about a person’s convictions instead of judgmental. Today definitely encourages me to include everyone because Christ is not divided!

Yes! Very convicting reading today. Praying I can be one who unifies, and not divides the Church.
I’m praying that the church would no longer be divided on trivial things, but wholly zealous for the One who saves and unifies them, lifting up one another in love.
I am praying that the Church would truly be like minded. That we would remember the blood of Christ is our unifying factor. I pray we remember the essentials of the gospel and not get caught up in pointing out insignificant differences.
I am praying that the church will be able to recognize false preachers and teachings and hold fast to the one Truth found in Christ.
Jesus shows us the definition of what a Christian is, and who they belong to. Although I do not know God, I know of Jesus and of the Holy Spirit which connects me to the Father. I pray that I continue to be his vessel to shine the light of all of the Goodness I have within me toward the Savior whom it belongs to. I pray that all people who call themselves Christians display the works of Jesus and allow more people who do not know Jesus, to embrace His good works and redemption.
I am praying for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine as well as others in countries where they are persecuted. I pray for missionaries in these countries as they server to unite the Believers around them.
I pray for the believers here in our country, that they will be united in showing the love of Christ to those around them.
I’m praying for understanding and help for the preachers and leaders of ministries who bring the gospel as they are struggling.
I felt very convicted reading the Scriptures today about the division among the church, the hurts caused in church. “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from our desires for pleasure that war in your MEMBERS? You lust and you do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and you war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and you do not receive because you ask amiss that you may spend it on your pleasures” (James 4:1-3). It’s true that the church forgets its role to serve but they want power to rebuke, correct, control through programs and funding, etc. And here, to achieve unity in the Spirit, one needs to walk worthy of the calling with all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, bearing one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). Praying for church hurts to be healed, that we can return and be restored/united. May all our prayers be heard and answered. Glory to our God.
The purpose of the unity of the Church is to bring glory to HIM! We we are not unified we distract from the gospel. Lord, please help me to seek unity in all of my relationships so that others may be drawn to you!

I’m praying for understanding and also asking for forgiveness for not only myself but for others who are struggling to understand scripture or even find parts of scripture hard to work through. I’m also asking for protection for all people who are struggling today.
I was grieved while reading the scriptures as I have lost a close friend due to divisions and satan’s tactics to divide and conquer. I’m praying for my friend and those who divide rather than unite in humility, honor, and forgiveness.

I consider it an honor to pray for my persecuted brothers and sisters I pray that they will have an encounter with God so they can stand firm always. I also pray that the persecutors will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I want to pray for the Church in Australia , that the community would recognize God in the church , despite all our flaws …. And that our Ambassadorship for Christ would be strong. I want to pray that followers of Christ would be Wise as they face the cultural shifts in the nation which are increasingly challenging and contrary to our Faith .

i pray every day that we as a family come together and spread the light of the Lord. that we reflect God’s image and people around us will know that we are God’s people. i pray that those who do not know God can turn to us as a pathway to God. in a world where things are turning darker everyday, we are needed to spread the good.

I just received a phone call from the babysitter of Finley, one of the little girls I take care of, apparently Finley’s mom fell yesterday while walking down the stairs. she had a glass bowl in her hands and it broke and cut her mouth some how. I didn’t work with Finley yesterday so I don’t know all the details but prayers would be appreciated for Monica (mom) and the family. Thanks.

I prayer we will all follow God and not this world and that we remember there is only one God.
Praying for all martyrs and those persecuted for their faith and in God’s name. Praying they receive strength, peace and deliverance according to God’s will. Especially for those in dangerous areas and countries, such as Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine and house churches in parts of Asia. Praying for all evangelists who passionately and faithfully share God’s Word and bring glory to His name.

I am praying right now that Christians all over the globe are filling themselves up with you Lord. That they are asking God to help them align with God’s plan and God’s cares and not the other way around. I pray that for myself. That I do not have to fear anything because I am free because of Christ’s blood! So I don’t have to worry and fear what the world fears. I am FREE and a slave to Christ!
I am praying for unity. I’m praying that our individual, corporate, and worldwide faith is strong. I believe that our love shines bright and that we walk in a way that is obviously different than the world. I pray that our lives are fueled by the time we spend in the Word and in prayer, and that we are all willing to go where He sends us, and do what He calls us to.
So as I was reading the Scripture out of my Bible (Thrive: A Journaling Devotional Bible for Women) I ran across what they call “Treasure of Truth: Leave your past where it belongs — at the cross.” When I read that I knew I had to pass it on to you, my sisters.
Romans 15:5-6 “5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. 6 Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” is the scripture that really spoke to me.
Lord, God give me give me the patience I need to live in peace and harmony with the world around me. Help me to remain connected to You Lord and to Christ and the Holy Spirit; and to remain in unity with others for only ONE reason — YOU AND ONLY YOU — spreading the WORD ABOUT CHRIST around the globe. In the name of the Triune God, Amen.
Today I pray that I will learn to love as Christ loves. To put away my judgements. To be what I say I am. Christlike. I pray for our country. For our children. So many things being thrown at them. I pray for all the She’s and their families. I pray that I keep my eyes up!

I’m praying for the Church to love and serve one another! We live in such a selfish world that we, the Church, tend to ignore our role to serve, pray, and love those around us. I pray that we know and encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ.

What powerful passages today! The Church can feel so divided at times, yet I’m encouraged by the beautiful examples of Christian unity I’ve seen lately. For our neighborhood, where women from all different churches and denominations are growing together in faith and life. Our kids are all getting to know each other, and that’s a beautiful thing. For my Sunday School class, where people with different political convictions hold Christ up, first and foremost.
I’m praying for the POWs from Mariupol being held by Russian forces. For their safety, but most importantly for their salvation and for the salvation of their captors. For those who are already believers there, that they would feel comforted by God’s presence and have boldness to share the Good News and have hope for each day.
Today I’m praying for a small church in Jacksonville we visited in our travels this week. They’ve struggled since COVID hit, and then their pastor passed away last year. Though their attendance has gone down, they’re still focused on being on mission with Jesus and are going on a missions trip this week. I pray for they get through this time of trial, and that God uses them.
I am praying for humility and a willingness to bear with one another in love. I have recently found myself in a conflict that is 100% misunderstandings and assumptions on both sides about our ministry philosophies. I’ve seen this so many times among brothers and sisters in the faith. I was so frustrated that the only thing I could do is pray. I’ve been challenged to pray that God would change my perceptions and give me the strength to extend mercy and grace. Now I’ve started praying for God to soften the other person’s heart as well. While reading this study I can help but think that the capitol C Church would shine brighter for Christ if each us humbled ourselves and prayed for God to give us the ability to beat with one another in Love.
Have you ever heard of Mercy Road? They are in Indianapolis. The young adult pastor from my church planted it about 10 years ago.

I’m praying specifically for my niece and her husband who are currently in Tanzania with their 2 year old son. They have been called to be missionaries to children and have their own ministry organization, Wonder Kids. They and their ministry team will be in Tanzania for 3 weeks bringing the Gospel to the children there. I pray for good health, good weather and for all to run as smoothly as possible. I pray any language barriers and logistical issues can be remedied quickly and effectively. Most importantly I pray for the children to accept our Savior for themselves and commit to being His followers. I pray for the local pastors and churches to continue nurturing the faith of these young ones. I pray for safety for all in attendance and for the flights home.
I also thank God for the ministry at The Cove in Asheville, NC. I will be heading there mid July to attend a week long seminar. I received an email from them today saying they are already praying for my time there to be fruitful in the Lord.
Sometimes we forget that God’s Word IS spreading internationally as well as domestically. Nothing can prevail against it. How great is our God and how faithful are His people. Amen and amen.
Today I am praying for my sisterhood, Theta Alpha, a Christian sorority who use the passage in John 17 as a guide for their ministry in the college community. As an alumni I have been feeling called to become more involved and would like to lift up their younger generation that they would always walk in the path of this passage towards unity together and in God.
I pray for our country. I pray for those lost and looking for an answer. I pray for those with the answer but don’t use it correctly. I pray for my friends. I pray for my family. I pray for myself. You see, we are all human and continually sin. I pray we can overcome more times than we give in. I pray for peace so unity is possible. I pray we stand up to what is coming!

For my unsaved family for a few years. Lord, I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ who are living in Russia. They are continuing to reach out to orphans and the poor without access to the resources they need to care for their own families and children. Would you please provide for their needs and bless their faithfulness!
I pray God’s church can truly live in peace with one another and unify over the mission God had put us on.
Lord, may they know us by our love
I have to admit that I laughed just a little when I read Phil. 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. “ and then immediately saw that the next chosen text in Romans 15:5 explain that it is God is who needs to give us the endurance and encouragement to live in that kind of harmony with each other. Thank goodness I don’t have to meet this requirement in my own strength.
Praying for all the unreached – that each will be found to bring all to the glory of the Lord. Praying for the Wayuu and the Colombian pastors and friends who are daily working for their salvation in Jesus!
Whether Jew or Greek, free or slave….we are united by one Sprit. Father I pray we see that in our daily activities; Father that all judgement be removed from our hearts, all comparisons be silenced by our love for the Savior. Father cover our leaders of my church, of all churches, as satan prowls let your people stand firm on the faith given to us through you. For the salvation given to us, we thank you you, hear our hearts because our words fail to fully speak the gratitude that is due to you. Unify us Lord, in the name of Jesus, help us come together in ALL tings necessary to share your good Word.
Lord I pray for love in our church. Be passionate, bold and full of love. Thank you God for all you have given to us and thank you God for your word.

Lord we pray for each one of Your precious saints being persecuted around the world. Give them strength to endure and bring glory to Your name alone. Lord provide for their needs and surround them with Your Angels for supernatural protection in Jesus name!!

Lord I pray for the church to be as you intended: filled with love, building each other up, supporting one another, working together. I pray you help our leaders to be worthy of the role you placed them in and that you help the people to hold them accountable and love one another when leadership falters. Help us love the other people no matter what life circumstances come our way and in spite of our differences in opinions or interpretations of the text. Love is what binds us together. In your name. Praying for those around the world living in such dire need that they are not able to see your hand in their lives Father; that their eyes would be opened to your presence, your love and that they would find comfort in your presence, hope in your promises.
I am praying for those that are lost in the wickedness of this world. There is so much pain and suffering that I see each day and so many that choose to not follow God. I pray for those that are battling anxiety and depression or are in a battle with the mind. I pray that the Lord would open our spiritual eyes so that we can see clearly. Help us, Lord, to not get caught up in the ways of this world. Help us to be Your hands and feet and to be more like You!
I pray that we in the church would truly be united with the Father, Jesus, the Spirit, and one another in the way that Jesus prayed that we would! We are His body on earth – the primary way He shows Himself to the world in this day. May we put aside our petty differences and truly show the world what Jesus is really like, as we abide in Him and let His beauty be reflected in us. Let us not just go to church on Sunday and then leave, but become a part of a community there, where we engage with people, where we meet with them outside of church, where we build relationships and encourage and support one another. Satan has tried more than ever through the pandemic to isolate, divide and conquer. But may we rise above that and not get so distracted and caught up in our own little worlds that we forget to be a part of spreading God’s kingdom together. May we live for His glory and not for temporary gain. Help us, as Christians, to look upward and outward as the Holy Spirit leads.
Today I pray that we can experience unity with one another as we all pursue the common goal of knowing Christ and making Him known.
May the Spirt lead us to pray for and encourage one another in a way that promotes peace and unity. May we all walk in humility and remember it is not about us, as I know I fall easily into the trap of falsely thinking that things revolve around me. May we have gracious hearts, making allowances for one another’s faults, as we all have them.
Praying this over believers everywhere. Today I also specifically pray for my cousin and her family as they live in and minister to the people in Rome. That they would experience unity and blessings and that many would come to know Him and grow in Him through their ministry.

As I read the scriptures for today, I see that God is already in us and unites us. We humans get in the way of realizing this present unity. As we seek to know God more individually and as a church, we grow more united because we lay down our earthly selves and let ourselves be the images of God that we were created to be.

Lord you know the needs of your people around the globe. We are united in faith in You. Surround those being persecuted for their faith in you. Make them strong and protect them from the evil one. For those not free to worship publicly, give them encouragement to know they are not alone, for those who have not yet heard or don’t have your word in their language, may your Holy Spirit be at work preparing the soil and working in the hearts of those you will send to reach them. I pray for those with hard hearts today who attack your truth and seek to divide us as your people, soften their hearts and give them a Damascus road experience like Paul. Protect your people and may we seek to be unified over the essentials that we may live lives pleasing to you that they may see our good works and bring you glory.
I pray for @growingfaith’s sister as she undergoes an emergency csection. Protect mother and baby and may she have peace knowing You are in control.

Praying for unity for all of God’s children. Praying that we find all find peace despite our differences or circumstances. Praying that we all know the love of God.
As I sit here reading what everyone is praying, it makes me love this community so much. We all have things in our lives that are happening and are important and in front of us right now. I love how Christ’s body is here to cover it all. As, I have a son set to graduate high school tomorrow. I am praying comfort for all the parents as we are excited and sad all at the same time. I am praying for these kids as they prepare for the world and all they will go out and do. I pray they know the Lord deeply and go out and spread the love of Christ. @Growing Faith, praying for your sister and the baby. That all goes well and both are healthy well.

My heart laments beneath the man made rainbow symbols displayed today. I pray that God’s true sign of love and mercy would shine into the lost souls and turn them to the only truth with healing and hope in its wings. I pray for strength to rise and stand firm in what we know is truth. I pray for Christian women especially, that we would be unified under Christ Jesus, intent on one purpose (Phil 2:2) to love and live in harmony as a community called to share the gospel. May we stand for truth in who we are as women. Created by God as beautiful heirs and messengers for Jesus, we hold such power in our words and actions. Let us display God’s love in truth, self control, and kindness, while speaking against evil if we must. Let not our voices be silenced in fear, but rather hold our tongue when God convicts us to remain quiet. When we speak, let our words ring with His wisdom. Let us walk and talk and pray like Jesus did. Amen.
I love this!! It’s a similar prayer that I pray, that others would “want what I have” even not knowing it is Christ and that through that I would help minister to them.
Thank you for this week’s podcast – it is so good. So encouraging. The emphasis on unity despite our differences is especially timely given our fractured world. I am praying that we, as Christians, demonstrate that unity in our love and care for one another.

“May God give a spirit of unity…so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6 This is the purpose of mankind, it has been true since the beginning of creation — we were created to glorify God. What better way to do it, than living in a spirit of unity – one heart, one mouth.
Praying for unity in our churches in America and around the world. May we all do what we were created for, and may we do it together with one heart. Put our differences aside, fix our eyes on Jesus and be mindful of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Praying that we can be reflections of God and show His love to everyone we meet, that those who don’t know Him would see something different in us and that it would spark interest in knowing why. That we might be able to set aside differences to get to the root—we are all image bearers.
There is so much that connects us as believers, even when the church walls are high. Even when disputes arise and denominations struggle to include others. We all believe in the same God, we all are saved by the same grace. As is shown so beautifully in this community, if we come together to study God’s word, share how He is working in our lives, the differences disappear and we become one. Unity because He is the One we all need.
There is so much we al decide to be divided over. But God never said we can’t think different, look different, have different opinions. He made us each to be unique – but he also made us each to live in Unity in the spirit. To love, walk humbly, give graciously, stay in the Word. It’s not a large command to begin with – but coming from where we are all now it seems impossible that we could all live that way. Praying that we can all look past our differences and see into the spirit of each person to realize they are in fact made to be just like us – entrenched in the spirit of God and walking in His ways.
Praying for unity and love within the Church, that we may go out and disciple the nations and our number will multiple.

Father God, make us one in You. As You and the Son and the Spirit are One, inseparable, may the people that make up Your church be one in You. May the world see our love for each other and our unity in the midst of diversity and may they believe that You, Father God, sent Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, I’m sorry that so often the people in the church allow judgment and bitterness, anger and gossip, resentment and jealousy, and a host of so many other selfish and evil feelings to cause division in Your church. We have taken the glory that Your Son Jesus has given us so that we can be perfectly one and that the world may know that You sent Jesus and loved us even as You loved Him and we have cast that glory aside and trampled that glory down. Lord, forgive us. Renew our hearts. Give us a hunger and a thirst, a craving, for Your righteousness, Your right way of living. Lord, may our hearts burn for You and may they be filled with feelings that please You. Help us to remember that all people are created by You and for You. We have been created for our good and Your glory. Help us to remember that all of us have sinned and fall short of Your glory. Help us to remember that You love each of us so much that even while we were Your enemies (fighting against You and Your ways) and dead in our trespasses and sins, You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die for us. Lord, help us to remember that we cannot seek You on our own. You seek and save those who are lost. But, You have created each of us for good works that You have prepared for us that we may walk in them. You have called us to glorify Your name and to tell all others about You. Lord, give us the courage to do so. Open our eyes to the opportunities and make us willing to walk in the ways You show us to go. Amen!
I pray we are all blessed with what we need and enough to share; and that we have the courage to reach across whatever divides us to share what we have with openminded love – not because we “should” or “have to”, but because we want to.

I am praying for unity for this world. There’s so much division and pain. I’m praying for people that don’t know our Heavenly Father, that God finds a way for them to get to know Him. Lord sometimes we don’t even know how to say what’s in our heart. The world gets in our way and yet is so important to us. Help us in our weakness. Let us be used toward your glory and honor. I pray that we speak kindness. I don’t know how you walked the earth and treated each person with respect and love. Compassion. We fail in this moment by moment. Give us that spirit that it will spur in others a desire to have what we have. And that spirit will spur us to want more of your grace. I speak Jesus over each of the SRT members. Give them their needs today and give them encouragement through your word. I am so thankful you chose me. For whatever reason. Here I am Lord. Use me.
Today I am praying that distraction (non-essentials and opinions) takes a back seat to The Word of God. I’m praying for unity that was experienced in Act 2:42 where thousands were added to their numbers. May it be so. Big prayers being lifted up today…. Big prayers.
I am praying for endurance and unity this morning especially for mom’s raising children in today’s society. I pray we lean on one another and can be strong together, without judgment, lifting our children to Him and praying that they will continue the spreading of His word in the next generation.

This series is really beneficial and practical for me right now. My husband, daughter, and I just moved from Boston to the Indianapolis area and are in the process of finding a church. We used to live here before so we have a church we know. But we also live in a different area of the city and are seeing if anything more local feels like a good fit, too. These three days of reading and clarification have shifted my perspective of what a “healthy” church should be, and what the local church’s responsibilities to itself and it’s body are. Please pray for our family to feel a sense of clarity and direction about where God is leading us.
I pray that God will reveal his true self to them. I pray that whatever their circumstance, they will be mindful of his presence, goodness, and provision. I pray that they live lives that glorify him.
I am praying for tolerance, understanding, empathy, and unity across the globe. Especially in the church, but also in across political, cultural, and ethnic divides. We are all one body and Christ calls us to function as one, living out his mission.
Praying that as Your church we can unite in our belief in You and Your Word vs minor details that divide us.
The passage in Romans 15 stood out to me most today: v8 “glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”. That’s the goal, to give God glory. Only He is worthy. As my young adult son has just returned from an overseas mission, I pray for others who may be contemplating a mission-based career and for students who are serving in various places around the world this summer.
God, make us one in Christ. That we come together, take away selfish ambition but instead in humility help us consider others more important than ourselves. Also the same for sin – we all fall short of your glory god. Convict our hearts around that so that we wrap new believers and long time believers (all of The church) in your love, grace and mercy.
This past Sunday we had the opportunity to worship with a contemporary church in Puerto Rico and last night we worshipped with a traditional church. Language was not a barrier as we serve the same God and the Holy Spirit connected us. This has been a beautiful and amazing experience. The church last night allowed each of us from my team to share and they prayed over us. To allow a group they did not know to come in and lead the message shows unity. I am forever changed by this experience.
Hey sisters! Praying for unity and gospel intentionality in our churches and for the Church. Praying for brothers and sisters who have walked off the path of righteousness, that the Lord guides them back. Praying for encouragement and bravery to strike all of us to share the gospel with those who are far from God.

I noticed that Jesus prayed for unity among believers four times in his prayer in John. I think this is something really important to Him. I pray that we can transcend above the division social media causes and do what Jesus said we could do – show the world that He was sent by God. I live in the DC area, and I am also praying, as I’m sure many are, for our unity to affect and for the Gospel to reach those in power in the United States – that those making decisions will turn to the Lord and be filled with His love, with gentleness, and integrity.
I am thanking our Heavenly Father for His wonderful plan for us. That he planned to unite us and that Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself to make us right with God. And in this perfect love, that we can all be part of the same church body, regardless of our location in time or space.
I’m praying for the truth of the gospel and God’s word to be taught loud and clear in churches and for revival to sweep this land. I’m praying for God’s people to unite in oneness to reach those who desperately need him right here in Kentucky and the United States.
I am praying that we all recognize that we are not only called to love others in the same way that Jesus loves us, but that according to his Word, he has given us the ability to do so. If we all love like Jesus, everything else will fall into place.
Praying that the Church would be the witness of God’s goodness, mercy, faithfulness and love, bringing Him the glory that He deserves.
Praying for the persecuted that the Lord would pour more of His peace and give a deep tangable sense of His abiding presence in their suffering.
Praying that the “comfortable” church would shake off the complacency that comes from worldly and fleshly distractions.
Praying that we would seek unity (not uniformity) in the essentials and extend grace in the non-essentials.

This morning, I’m praying for my sister who is undergoing an unplanned c-section due to complications from preeclampsia. She also has a blood-clotting disorder, so I’m fighting off worry by coming here. Lord willing, it will be long over by the time most of you read this, but I would appreciate any prayers you offer on the behalf of her, her baby, and her husband.
I am praying for increased unity in the global church and also for all of the churches that are facing persecution around the world. May we all pray for them and be a source of help to them through God.
