The Third Sunday of Advent

Open Your Bible

Psalm 104:24

How countless are your works, LORD!
In wisdom you have made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
—Psalm 104:24

The first two weeks of our reading plan have explored the unique ways Jesus was the answer to generations of hope, expectation, and longing. On this third Sunday of Advent, we enter into the final days of anticipation for Christmas Day. This week, we’ll read one “O Antiphon” prayer each day—along with our daily reading—to guide us to Christmas and the celebration of Jesus who has indeed come to us.

O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,
reaching from one end to the other,
mightily and sweetly ordering all things:
Come and teach us the way of prudence

    This is my first time ever celebrating Advent, and it’s also my first She Reads Truth study. I’ve absolutely loved doing both!!

    Seven days till Christmas! Thank you Lord for the gift of Your Son Jesus. Humbly you came and gift yourself unto us in stressful situations. I am echoing another she’s prayers on health and wellness. Our family is also down with a cold/flu. On top of that our main bath faucet burst before Xmas, and we are trying to find a plumber, getting quotes and assessments. They might have to cut in the wall to remove some plumbing. And…my right eye got scratches and swollen again yesterday after being almost healed. To sit and sulk is a great temptation I must admit. Lol. BUT GOD. His grace and mercies are fresh every morning. Tangible mercies that are great. I miss you she’s. Hoping to recover from the troubles and sickness so i can join you again daily for the devotional. I really hate to be thrown off my daily routine that I have worked so hard to build discipline on, but may God’s grace come strong when I fall short despite my best efforts. Praying good health and cheery moods for all by God’s strength and kindness to sustain us through. One week till Xmas. Be blessed dear sisters.❤️
