Though our reading is coming to a close, God’s story is not over. Each believer carries this story of salvation through the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us and by the stories we share with one another of His goodness and faithful love. We’ve waited, and we celebrate what God has done!
Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has visited
and provided redemption for his people.
—Luke 1:68

I enjoyed and looked forwards to each day of this advent study. It has been wonderful reading and learning with you all❤️
❤️
Blessed is the Lord. Thank you for all that I have and am ready for your plans Amen.
This Advent study reminded me that waiting isn’t passive. Living in light of Jesus’ return means choosing the light now! Waking up, putting on Christ, and living with intention, hope, and holiness even in ordinary days ❤️
I came in on the end of the Advent but I plan to go back and read. Today’s message was fabulous!
Thank you for this beautiful journey through Advent. This has been a joy to read and learn with you all! ❤️
Thank you so much She Reads Truth team! It was such an among adventure reading plan! I looked forward to my reading everyday!
Loved this year’s Advent study! I really embraced Christmas Day as the “beginning” of Christmastide, rather than an “ending” of the Christmas season. I was so grateful for the insights on this from the Reading Guide and Podcast! This transformed the way I celebrated and helped me enjoy Christmas even more than I already do!
Thankful for the SRT team and all that you to do help people get in God’s Word every day!
Anyone have special ways to commemorate Epiphany / the 12th Day of Christmas?
One thing we do is take down the tree and the wise men arrive at the manger after having travelled around the living area.
Thank you, She Reads Truth team! This was my first advent and it has been amazing. The beauty of this story, the anticipation of what is to come. My heart is full of joy!
Thank you, SRT, for providing this wonderful study … (well, ALL of the studies!) ❤️
I am a grateful recipient of His redemption! ❤️
Thank you She Reads Truth for this wonderful Advent reading plan. It’s really helped be to be rooted in Jesus and His good news this season. I pray that God will help us to stay focused on the light
I have really enjoyed this study and feel that our studies of John and Revelation enriched it even more. Thank you, SRT. May everyone have a blessed and spiritually fulfilling 2026!
I was wanting to prepare for the Acts study, so I went to Enduring Word commentary. The notes on Acts 1:1 give some good background in case any She’s are interested. ❤️
Happy Sunday!
❤ thanks, B!
What an incredible last few weeks! My first time in my Catholic faith celebrating Advent and the Lord truly blessed!
I hope you had a very blessed Adventure season!
Happy Sunday on this wet and cold morning. I enjoyed this beautiful study SO much and even sad it’s over (I may have said that yesterday). Love you all so much! It’s late and gotta get ready for church on this very WET morning. Go back to all-day meetings tomorrow, students start on Tuesday. Can’t wait!!
Amen. Thank you Lord and we bless your name❤️
Thank you SRT leadership for a theologicaly rich Advent study and for all of you sisters who have shared wisdom, insights, thoughts, commentaries, scripture to bring such much more to this time. The learning and spurring one another on along with the support, encouragement and prayers make this community truly a blessing.
We are making our 9 hour drive home today on very icy, winter roads after a wonderful few days of visiting with our daughter, SIL and sweet grandson. Appreciate your prayers for our safe travels.
Sunday Blessings❤️
Praying! So glad you got to spend time with them again.

Blessed is the Lord! The CSB titkes this section ‘Zacharias’ Prophecy’. It is also known as the Benedictus.
v. 15-17 remind us of John’s mission set by God.
✨
From John MacArthur-
“This passage is known as the Benedictus (the first word of v. 68 in the Latin translation; see notes on vv. 46–55; 2:29–32). Like Mary’s Magnificat, it is liberally sprinkled with OT quotations and allusions.
When Zacharias was struck mute in the temple (v. 20), he was supposed to deliver a benediction (see note on v. 21). So it is fitting that when his speech was restored, the first words out of his mouth were this inspired benediction.”
✨✨✨
From Zondervan KJV Commentary-
“This prophetic hymn needs to be seen in light of what the angel had told Zacharias months before. Zacharias, certainly being aware of the circumstances of his wife’s relative, Mary, may have had Jesus Christ in mind as well (see 1:69).”
✨✨✨
Through this reading I am reminded that
Emanuel – God is with us!
✨✨✨
THANK YOU SRT for another life changing advent! Thank you SHES for the insights and enrichment you added each day!
✨✨✨
Closing with the last part of Luke chapter 1-
Because of our God’s merciful compassion,
the dawn from on high will visit us
79 to shine on those who live in darkness
and the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
✨✨✨
Love, hugs, and prayers! Let’s worship Him today! ❤
❤️
He is worthy of all glory and honour!
Cee Gee, thank you for posting additional notes and commentaries on the scripture passages. They often give me new insight and draw me deeper into God’s word. ❤️
Oh you are so welcome, Maria! That blesses my heart! ❤
GM, Happy Sunday!
This was a really good Advent. I am so thankful for SRT and their wonderful, enriching studies. It makes such a difference in your relationship with God when you read his word everyday.
I am really excited for Acts! It is such a riveting, powerful book!! It will lead to some great comments I’m sure, and maybe even more discussion on our FB page!
I was listening to a song I had never heard this morning by Jeremy Riddle “Jesus Have it All! Simple, but powerful.
Lyrics
Jesus, have my heart, my will, my soul
Jesus, have my hopes, my dreams, my world
With joy, I lay it down
With joy, I cast my crowns
Jesus, have it all
To You, I bring my praise, my lips, my song
A living sacrifice as one reborn
Your life is now my own
Your will is what I want
Jesus, have it all
Jesus, have it all
Jesus, have it all
To You belongs the glory
The praise of all the world
Jesus, have it all
Jesus, have it all
All blessing and all honor
All majesty and awe
Jesus, have it all
Jesus, have Your church, Your love, Your bride
The joy for which You freely gave Your life
Radiant in white
Washed and purified
Jesus, have us all
Jesus, have Your worth, Your due, Your sum
The praise of every nation, tribe, and tongue
Let all that has been made
Glorify Your name
Jesus, have it all
May his praise be continual on my lips and my life surrendered in peace and joy each day!!
I just used the word ‘enrichment’ in my thanks! Like minds! I was working on my comment when yours posted. I will listen to this song! ❤
❤️
Happy Sunday!
♥️♥️♥️
The NET translates the verse this way:
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
because he has come to help and has redeemed his people.”
.
And the study notes:
“The verb “come to help” can refer to a visit, but can also connote concern or assistance.
“Has redeemed” is a reference to redemption, but it anticipates the total release into salvation that the full work of Messiah will bring for Israel. This involves both spiritual and material benefits eventually.
.
Psalm 107:1-3:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his faithful love endures forever.
.
Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim
that he has redeemed them from the power of the foe
.
and has gathered them from the lands—
from the east and the west,
from the north and the south.”
.
Psalm 103:1-14:
“My soul, bless the Lord,
and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
.
My soul, bless the Lord,
and do not forget all his benefits.
.
He forgives all your iniquity;
he heals all your diseases.
.
He redeems your life from the Pit;
he crowns you with faithful love and compassion.
.
He satisfies you with good things;
your youth is renewed like the eagle.
.
The Lord executes acts of righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
.
He revealed his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel.
.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.
.
He will not always accuse us
or be angry forever.
.
He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve
or repaid us according to our iniquities.
.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his faithful love
toward those who fear him.
.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed
our transgressions from us.
.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
.
For he knows what we are made of,
remembering that we are dust.”
.
Jesus, my Redeemer, thank You for coming to help, to rescue, me!
.
Praise Him loud and long today with your church family today!
Amen, Kelly! Thank you for sharing this beautiful Psalm! ❤
❤️
Amen! Let it be so!! ❤️
Amen. Bless the Lord!❤️
