Each week we have looked at how Jesus came to be and bring the hope, peace, joy, love of His kingdom to earth. In response, we rejoice in all Jesus has already accomplished, proclaiming His good news to the world. In this week’s readings, we will look at some of the specific ways we can rejoice by modeling Jesus’s example in how we live according to the hope, peace, joy, and love that He brought.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
—1 Corinthians 15:57

Rejoice!!! Rejoice!!! ❤️ thankful for the Lord.
❤
And !
Our sermon today was on the presence of God in the deepest of valleys. It really goes well with our verse today that we have victory in Christ. I want my response to all that I go through this year to reflect the verse that Cheryl shared today:
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
He gives us the strength and hope to live in this manner so that we can be a testimony of the life we can have in Christ.
Agreed! I would love to be more consistent in worshiping God! He deserves our praise when we experience highs and lows.
❤Amen!
As I see it, “rejoice” is the command to have joy, and joy is what I feel called to make my focus for the coming year. It is a beautiful thought. This morning’s sermon was on abiding in Jesus, which is what I got out of Friday’s reading. So I think that abiding in my Savior is necessary for me to cultivate joy in the coming year, when the world may not give me much to be joyful about.
❤️
I’m with you Margaret!❤
THIS reminded me of the song. “Rejoice In The Lord Always” Rejoice…rejoice, then again I say rejoice….. LOVE your sweet Tina!! Thank you for love wrapped in hugs, prayers and thoughtfulness.
THIS comment was in response to Tina’s!
❤
Oh Sisters what sweet victory we have in Jesus! May I never lose sight of His victory and May it continue to fuel my trust in Him no matter the circumstances! In highs and lows Lord Jesus you still are the victory to focus our eyes on.
Once again, your insights bless me! We have victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ! We can’t do this life without Jesus! I’m reminded of these verses from 1 Thess 5:
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV
https://bible.com/bible/111/1th.5.16-18.NIV
We can rejoice because we are in Christ Jesus, we have the victory because we are in Christ Jesus!
Praying for all of you! Have a blessed day!
Victory indeed! Happy Sunday sweeties!
ALSO, I’ve been thinking of my word-of-the-year. I think I know what it will be, but want to pray on it some more.
❤✝️
1 Peter 1:8
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you
rejoice
with a glorious,
inexpressible joy.
.
I am thankful for Jesus!
And, I am thankful for you SHES who have a gift for expressing your JOY! What a blessing you are! ❤

Thanks, Victory, Rejoice! Thanks, Victory, Rejoice–due to Jesus!
He is Worthy of all of our Praise!!
Hope, Peace, Joy, and Hope= Rejoicing! (maybe I will start tapping my feet with Tina this morning!)
This has been a great Advent. Don’t know that I’m ready for 2025! Who would have thought!? Seems unreal! I am still stuck back in 2000’s. I like simple, easy, routine, but God want’s action from his disciples. We are all called to use our gifts and step out for what He has for us! It takes effort on our part, but it’s a beautiful thing when we do- not easy, but rewarding, a blessing. So as the new year comes around the corner, lets give thanks to Jesus in our Victory by rejoicing loud and proud and moving beyond our comfort to impact others around us every day!
I agree Sister…I was reflecting yesterday that it has already been a whole quarter century since “Y2K” and worries everything would come crumbling down :D
Yesterday, I also felt not sure I was ready for 2025 but feeling hope with today’s reading…and just read Jen Yokel’s Devo from Friday….I’m feeling convicted to put some of my “stuff” aside and open myself more to take my strength and drive from Jesus, trusting Him for it!!
Please continue to keep me in prayer.
I love you all.
First coffee, then toe tapping (maybe even tapdancing as I think of all He is and I am in Him)!!
Amen, Rhonda!
Me either Rhonda! I was thinking the very same thing yesterday. 2024 went by so fast, I’m ENJOYING this Advent study SO much and want to last forever…So glad its not over yet and will continue for another week. I don’t remember at the moment, if we’ve done Christmastide. I want to think that we did. Will look at my last year’s study book. Love you sweet lady!
Do it Rhonda! As the ad says… Just do it!!

Psalm 97!
“1 The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice;
let the many coastlands be glad!
2 Clouds and thick darkness are all around him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him
and burns up his adversaries all around.
4 His lightnings light up the world;
the earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory.
7 All worshipers of images are put to shame,
who make their boast in worthless idols;
worship him, all you gods!
8 Zion hears and is glad,
and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
because of your judgments, O Lord.
9 For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth;
you are exalted far above all gods.
10 O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
and give thanks to his holy name.”
.

Yes, Rejoice! It helps me to have joy in my heart❤️
I LOVE the word Rejoice. There is, I think, something Heavenly about it!
.
I feel a touch of Heaven on earth, when I truly rejoice. I don’t mean happy because all is going well, I mean, deep down in my soul dancing Heaven-ward. I mean, bubbling with thanksgiving, even when life throws those lemons you know are planning to cause you grief, but, you also KNOW, that God, sent His Son Jesus Christ, through whom we are given the victory..
Ooh, my feet are tapping already.. you don’t have to tell me twice..
.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through Christ Jesus..
.
BUT GOD..
.
Amen.
.
Happy Sunday, my people! Happy Sunday covered in great rejoicing for you all!
Much love..
Tina ❤️❤️
Yes, Same Tina! I had put on FB about a “word” for the New Year! And when I saw “rejoice” this morning I thought- —-I LOVE that word, it resonates something BIG in my soul!! I will not be tapping my feet this early though! It takes a while to be dancing around in the morning!
Yesterday I felt “Inspire,” so we shall see. (it feels a little “me,” but I do want to inspire the world around me FOR Him.
❤️
This! This is what I’m referring to, Tina…Your “God given Exuberance, your Passion for Jesus… I love the way you share… not just your words, but the infusion of emotions and soul longings into your writing.., I truly believe our world NEEDS your story in print form, dear friend!! ♥️
